Summary: Can Rio find water and love?
Review: Not a bad story. This is the story of Hope Gardner who lives in the Valley of the Sun. This is her heritage and the land she loves more than anything else in life. She has modeled to make money to drill for a new well. But no one thinks she can find water on her land. Especially the lecherous neighbor who has been after her for years.

Along comes Rio who is part Native American and who is no longer a dreamer but he can find water if it exists. But can he do it without loosing his heart to Hope and finding he has dreams after all.

You spend a lot of time listening to the philosophy of the Native Americans and looking into the sole of the main characters but it is a heartfelt romance.

Summary: This is an oldie but a goodie.
Review: Originally released as Valley of the Sun. Worth another read (or a first read).

Summary: Pretty Predictable
Review: Predictable and REDUNDANT. The constant comparison of the hero to the wind gets old quickly. The author compares him to the wind, the heroine compares him to the wind and the hero compares himself to the wind on practically every page and midway through the book it had me rolling my eyes and seriously detracted from my enjoyment of this book. My advice is for you to get it from the library if you insist on reading it. One thing the author does well is give you a feel for the Nevada ranchland.

Summary: Incredibly Romantic
Review: The hero (Rio) in this book is one of my favorites. Although he struggles with his past and his own pain, he his strong, sexy and givng. What I like about this book is that Rio and Hope don't waste thier time fighting all of the time. You can feel thier care and feelings for one another. Hope is strong and independant without being abrasive. The love scenes in this book are sensual without being filthy. I HIGHLY recommend this book!!!! You won't be sorry!!!!

Summary: Beyond Beautiful
Review: This has topped all books I have read as the best ever. The struggle the characters had to realize their dreams was gut-wrenching, any weaker person would have broken. Some of the reviewers couldn't understand why Rio was like he was, but I think the reasons for his inner workings was clearly explained. Like one of the other characters he befriended said Rio's life would have broke a weaker man. He not only had stronger beliefs than anyone ever, but he was a friend to so many in their time of need. The story couldn't have unfolded any other way in order for Hope to learn the far reaches of the kindness and unselfishness of the man Rio was.
Yes there should have been a sequel to show us more of what went into realizing the fruit of the dream of Hope for the Valley of the Sun.

Summary: In classic Lowell style
Review: This is a book worth the cover price. If you loved the 'Only' series then this book is for you, it has a love for the land and the loyal appreciation to heritage. This is a contemporary love story that has a mature young woman, Hope, not afraid to meet love and physical attration with the right man. When she meets Rio and understand that she loves him, there is no turning back for her, she would give her all for the 'fighting chance' to live this 'dream' of her ranch and her new found love for Rio while it is still a possibility. Rio is a more complicated person, Hope is clear and definite, Rio doubts his potential and has no dreams, in the past he has always been detached of his own life, fulfilling dreams for others instead. He is trapped by his self-imposed limits, and thinks that the road has been chosen for him. Read this story where the moral is: use the 'fighing chance' all the way to its last recourse with integrity and hope where love and 'belonging' endures, willing to trade what you cannot keep to have what you cannot earn.

Summary: Beautiful Dreamer
Review: This is one of my favorite books; however, buyers should beware. This is a re-release of one of Elizabeth Lowell's books from years ago. I was extremely disappointed to hear that she's got a new book out, only to buy it and find out that it's one that I had purchased years ago. If you haven't read "Valley of the Sun" this is definitely worth your time! I've reread this book several times over the years.

Summary: A well-crafted story
Review: This was a well-crafted story about a man with a gift for finding water and a woman who believes in him and his gift. A feel-good story that will keep you reading until the last page!

Summary: Beautiful Dreamer
Review: This was one of my favorite books written by Elizabeth Lowell originally as Valley of the Sun. I have an old copy and reread it every so often. I knew that she would soon re-release it, as she's brought back so many of her old books. I think it's time she wrote something new. I too, become very disappointed when I am waiting for something new only to find out it's a reprint.
