Rating: Summary: I loved this book! Review: I love all of Ms.Garwood's book and must admit the newest always becomes my favorite. The Wedding was a great follow up to The Bride and I can only hope that the series will continue with Brenna's younger sister and Conlin's man-at-arms-soon.
Rating: Summary: The worst Garwood ever Review: I love Julie Garwood's style, but this is the last book I brought by her. It is the only one I've thrown away. I own all her others. I didn't find this one amusing beyond the start. There was nothing special about the characters. It was predictable and just a bit insipid.
Rating: Summary: It's hard to top Julie Garwood Review: I loved "The Wedding"! I love Julie's Highland romance novels. In fact I have never read one of her books that I did not absolutely go nuts over. She has a gift to draw you in so much that you are actually living in that time period. I loved Connor because like all her men he is just totally irresistable! I love a powerfully domineering (only in books) man that loves his woman so much that he will kill for her. Brenna was adorable of course and you just have to love them! "The Wedding" is a must read if you read and loved "The Bride".
Rating: Summary: First in series I read and I was captivated! Review: The wedding was the first Julie Garwood book I read, but it turned me into a long time fan of Garwood. This was a forced marriage that developed into love. Brenna was such an enchanting character and Garwood wove her story with such care one could see themselves in her place. I was so caught-up in the book, I couldn't put it down. A must read if you have read THE BRIDE.
Rating: Summary: Very entertaining. Just the way I like books to be. Review: I really enjoyed this book. I love to read these books when there is a little comedy dished in. Julie Garwood has always been one of my favorite romance writers since I began around the late 70's. My only question is when will Julie write a story on Brianna's sister and Connor's Man-At-Arms? I just know that she is going to cross over the border. There was so much left unsaid that I know that there has to be a sequel. And it will be another great story. I've been looking for it for almost a year now. I thought for sure that that is what "Come the Spring" was going to be about. Julie G., what's up?? Let us know when to look for it. The Bookstore manager is sick of my whining.
Rating: Summary: It was a superb book of romance that takes you back in time! Review: I love all of Julie Garwood's novels,( though I have to admit each is a favorite!) I found this book so suspenceful I couldn't put it down! I can't wait for her next book to come out to read. Her novels take me back to a great era!
Rating: Summary: Magical, wonderful love story Review: This was my first book by JG and I was enchanted by her story of Brenna and Connor. These were wonderful characters. Brenna's sweetness and faith in her husband are touching. The whole wedding scene is hilarious, with Brenna going around and around (literally) in order to stall the ceremony. I will be sure to buy the rest of Ms. Garwood's books.
Rating: Summary: It was O.K. Review: There was a time when I only read romance novels, but of late I seem to need much more to the stories, Every now and again I desire a good romance that I can sink my teeth into. This book was not it. May be I'm a little tired of the herione being 16 yrs. old, or the hero that is a brut, only to turn into a sad puppy dog by there one and only love. When all is said and done I'm in it for the history.
Rating: Summary: Just Captivating! Review: It was a really romantic book and I really loved it. Brenna is soo cute and naive at the same time, trying to please a lady who is all but trying to make her life a living heck and she still couldn't see it. Well, maybe she could but she wanted to please Connor too bad. And you know, the problem with him is that he doesn't know good fate when it lands right in his lap! That's what's wrong with him! And Brenna has the same sense of locating where she misplaced her things as Jamie has direction! Which is none at all! This book connects off The Bride and it is really good. Read it!
Rating: Summary: words can't only describe this book... Review: This beautiful and humurous love story is one of the best books ever written. The ending was so lovely, I read it a billion times and cried with joy!
