Summary: A Must Read!
Review: This is the first book I owned by Julie Garwood, and let me be the one to say I am now HOOKED on her novels! This book was so funny and romantic! One that will keep you wanting it to never end. I laughed out loud so much, my family thought I needed professional help! I never use to read but for some reason this book's cover drew me in and that was it! You will want to read all of her books!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Not Garwood's Best
Review: I have read most of Garwood's books and I admit that they are all very well written. The only thing that troubled me in this one was the weak heroine who later just turned inside out and became an almost complete snob. The plot was somewhat underdeveloped as well. All around, though, this is an enjoyable book, but definately not Garwood's best.

Summary: Please, I can't tell this apart from any other Garwood book.
Review: I loved Julie Garwood. Really I did. She was one of my top five writers, and after I read The Gift, I bought every book I could get my hands on. I've finally come to the conclusion that she has one male and one female character, and she just changes the names and puts them in different circumstances. It used to be cute some of the dumb things the heroines would do and say. Now it just seems ridiculous.

Please, please, Ms. Garwood, give us some variety. I can't tell if I just read about Brenna, or Jamie, or Bridget, or Mary Rose (heaven forbid!) etc. They are all the same. I actually read 200 pages of this before I realized I had read it before! That's how much impact this story had on me.

Another example of something that is really annoying in Garwood books, is the way the Connor insisted on calling Alec his brother, instead of his name. Yeah, I get the point that you're trying to say that they really consider each other brothers. Matter of fact, I got that point in the first few pages. I didn't have to have it repeated again and again and again.

Summary: Absolutely Loved It!!!
Review: I absolutely loved this book and ready it in 2 days. That may not seem like a great feat, but I'm working full time with a 3 month old baby! Conner and Brenna are both strong, multi-dimensional characters. I am so tired of flat one-dimensional figures in historical romance. Julie Garwood always tells a humerous story, and this one was beautifully done.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A FUNNY, SENSITIVE AND ROMANTIC STORY. A KEEPER.
Review: THIS BOOK AND THE "BRIDE" ARE TWO OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITES. THE BEGINNING, WHEN BRENNA WAS A SMALL CHILD IS DELIGHTFUL. THE WEDDING CEREMONY WAS GREAT.IN THE "BRIDE" WE ARE INTRODUCED TO JAMIE AND ALEC WHO HAVE A SMALL BUT IMPORTANT PART IN CONNOR AND BRENNA'S LIFE. JULIE GARWOOD HAS BROUGHT US TWO BOOKS THAT THE READER WILL NOT WANT TO PUT DOWN UNTIL FINISHED.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of the best I've read in a long time.
Review: I read my first Julie Garwood novel about a year ago and just loved it. I read a few other books, from different authors, since and they seemed to be missing something. I read "The Wedding" and was immediately lost in this wonderful story. I didn't want this novel to end. Conner and Brenna keep pulling at your heart strings through the entire book. You laugh and cry, and feel every emotion, and felt apart of there lives. You will not be disappointed.

Summary: Sequel to The Bride
Review: Conner MacAlister is Alec Kincaid's younger adopted brother. As a child, he watched his father die and swore revenge. A few years later, he meets a precocious little girl named Brenna who asks the young Scot to marry him. When she turned sixteen, Brenna is sent to Scotland to marry MacNare, the same man who killed Conner's father. Conner decides to kill two birds with one stone. He would kidnap Brenna and marry her, thereby rescuing her and getting one over on MacNare. Although, this was a good story and seeing Jamie and Alec again were nice, I wished that Conner and Brenna had more going on between them. There was a lot of separation with these two characters. Also, Brenna did have some good qualities and was portrayed a innocent, but she often came off as a "ditz." Not quite up to par with some of Garwood's other books, this story still managed a 4-star rating.

Summary: Fun And Charming
Review: If you enjoyed The Bride you'll love The Wedding. Not only are the characters of the same fabulous caliber Alec and Jamie put several appearances in this novel. Brenna is a great character with loads of adorable traits, including her appetite. The only thing that bothered me was the way she let Conner's stepmother walk all over her. I know she was trying to get her to like her, but I don't think anyone can really put up with that much abuse and just let it roll off their back. Still it helped to emphasize the stepmother's character so I guess it was important. Connor's silent amusement at the outrageous things Brenna did made him really lovable despite his determination not to love Brenna, even when he already did of course. I absolutely loved the way Connor's friend's were amused by his situation, knowing full well he was desperately trying not to admit to his feelings for Brenna. But when several attempts on Brenna's life are made Connor must forget his charade in order to protect her and find out once and for all who betrayed his father and his clan when he was a boy. Garwood has done it again, The Wedding is not to be missed!

Summary: Another Winner
Review: After reading my first Garwood novel "Ransom", I didn't think it could get any better - but it has. "The Wedding" was just as wonderful and witty. I had gotten away from romance novels because they were too predictable and empty. However, after reading "Ransom" and "The Wedding" I have decided that Garwood is much different than the others. I've just ordered four more Julie Garwood novels and can't wait to get started!

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Disappointing . . ..
Review: This is the only Julie Garwood novel that I ever purchased and ended up giving away. The beginning was good. It had the usual Garwood flair and magic. I don't feel that the main characters spent enough time together to make their falling in love believable. Some of the scenes were just silly. And the ending was so predictable, I could see it coming from a mile away. I was very disappointed.
