Rating: Summary: Holiday Suspense Review: He Sees You When You're Sleeping is a light holiday suspense about a man, Sterling who is in heaven's waiting room and his journey to gain his entrance in. Sterling is sent to young Marissa to help her out in a sticky situation involving her family and the mob. Marissa's father and grandmother are sheltered in the witness protection program and Marissa cannot bear Christmas without them. This story is not meant to be heavy by any means. The plot could have definitely been developed more.
Rating: Summary: A book you can't put down! Review: HE SEES YOU WHEN YOU'RE SLEEPING AUTHOR: Mary Higgins Clark and Carol Higgins Clark PUBLISHER: Simon & Schuster REVIEWED BY: Barbara RhoadesBOOK REVIEW: This is one of the best stories I have read in ages. It is a story of an "almost" angel who is sent back to earth to help a young girl and her family. Witness protection has separated the girl from her beloved father and grandmother. With a price on their heads for what they have heard, they are unable to come home for Marissa's birthday. Sterling, the "almost" angel, is sent to help Marrissa. Since he was a rather selfish person on earth and the Heavenly Council wants Sterling to provide he is worthy of entering the Heavenly Gates. I had a very hard time putting this book down. Mary Higgins Clark is the reader and I believe that adds to the telling of the story, as she is co-author. Knowing the way the story should be told helps in reading it to others. This is a wonderful tale of one person helping another and the wonders that can occur when we are willing to come to the aid of others.
Rating: Summary: Check out another Clark Review: Hey, have any of you fellow Mary Higgins Clark fans read Mary JANE Clark? I actually think she's better. My heart's never raced fast than when I was reading LET ME WHISPER IN YOUR EAR (her most recent I think). Check her out -- for the fastest page-turning of all time.
Rating: Summary: Heartwarming! Review: I am a great fan of Mary Higgins Clark and have collected all of her books. I read them for the entertainment they give me and found this book to be very heartwarming and cozy with a little suspense and danger thrown in. It was interesting to see how Sterling's character grew during his efforts to help Marissa. I heartily recommend this book to anyone looking for a light read with little violence and no profanity.
Rating: Summary: "He" must have seen me when I was trying to read this book Review: I am an avid fan of Mary Higgins Clark, but I would love to have the money back that I spent on this bomb. It would certainly have been nice to know ahead of time that I was purchasing a book more fit for my 9-year-old. It was a terrific idea for a story, but the writing was so juvenile that I had a very hard time finishing the book. I find that I'm feeling a little cheated by relying on the author's name as a promise of a good read. Perhaps if I stick with Mary and skip the books written by the duo, I might have better luck feeling like it was worth the price.

Rating: Summary: Awesome suspense Review: I don't give book reviews but here goes. This one will get you to sit straight up, no slouching. My wife told me my eyes would be so wide open at times... and she was right. I can't see why anyone would not enjoy this good writing. Mary has a very real and capturing way. We have all seen movies and read books about the person who needs to do the good deed on Earth to gain rights to Peter's gate, but this one is arousing. I am not a regular reader of Mary's, my wife is, she also says this is intense. I want to recommend another book my wife ordered here, and is as satisfying, SB 1 or God By Karl Mark Maddox.
Rating: Summary: Simplistic Review: I hate to knock a book about Christmas, and angels and all that good stuff, but this is just too childish. Actually it would be good for my twelve year old grand-daughter so all may not be lost. This is the second loser by mom/daughter that I have read and I wish they would give it up. Even the last Mary H C I read was trite and poor and not worth the time. Sorry this just is not a good read, period.
Rating: Summary: Major disappointment Review: I have been an avid fan of Mary Higgins Clark for years and have every one of her books. I received this book as a gift and it was obvious that Mary Higgins allowed her daughter to do most of the writing. The book was boring and Carol Higgins is not much of a writer and only sells books because she trades on her mother's name. Do yourself a favor and skip this one.
Rating: Summary: Not her best work! Review: I have read most of Mary Higgins Clark books and have always enjoyed them. Unfortunately, this book did not live up to her reputation. I found the book to be very predictable and didn't feel her characters had a lot of depth to them. I was very disappointed. I think she should really stick to what she knows and does best and that's writing mysteries.
