Summary: Outstanding!
Review: This book is fast paced, well written, and absolutely terrific and outstanding! Once you start it, you can't put it down. One of the best, if not the best, that she has ever written!

Summary: More than I expected!!
Review: This is my first Nora Roberts book and I must say I am impressed. My mother has been reading Roberts forever, but I could never get into her. Now I will be. The Villa is wonderful. I'm only half-way through the book, but I can't seem to get enough! I can't wait to get to the end. I'm already on the hunt for other Nora Roberts books. This one has suspense, intrigue, murder, and lots of emotions. Everything I like in a book. I love the way Roberts creates lush scenery. I almost feel like I'm in Napa Valley. The characters read like something from a steamy daytime soap.

I recommend that you run out and pick-up a copy of this book as soon as possible. Make sure you have your own copy. You'll want to keep this one. Nora Roberts has a new fan!

Summary: The Villa Fell Flat
Review: First off, I love Nora Roberts books. The short sappy ones, the romances, and the mysteries under J.D. Robb. But The Villa wasn't up to her usual standards. The main plot was good, if extreme and unexplained, but she went all over the place with the subplots. All the characters were underdeveloped due to the sheer number of them. The relationship of the main characters (Tyler and Sophia) was so sketchy that I was kind of surprised when it seemed they had romantic interest in each other. All in all, not up to the usual standards of a Nora Roberts book.

Summary: The Villa
Review: I was very disappointed in this book. I have been a huge fan of Nora Robert's for years but I think this is the worst one I have read! The problem was she never fully developed the characters. There were too many different story lines going on so you never really got to know any of them well. Sophia and Tyler are supposed to be the main characters yet you go several chapters without them being mentioned. I also felt like I was reading a Sidney Sheldon novel with all of the conversations between the police! Because there were so many characters I felt as if she was not able to develop the whole sabotage plot and the real reasons behind it were. I hope in her next book, she gets back to the style that she excelled at before with less characters and more well developed ones!

Summary: the villa
Review: I never expected to see the day I would get a Nora Roberts book that I just didn't care for but the villa is that book. I kept turning back to the cover to be sure this was a nora roberts book & not something that danielle steel had written before she got her act together . I guess it had to happen sometime but I am truly dissappointed the plot never jelled the characters didn't interact & the story just didn't come together in the usual roberts fashion -sorry nora I will of course buy your next book--but just not so fast

Summary: LIES, AND DECEPTION IN "THE VILLA"
Review: Two leaders in the wine industries are the Giambellis', and the MacMillan's, and when La Signora, the matriarch of the Giambellis', heads up a merger between the two, she opens a flood gate of betrayals, and murder.

Sophia Giambelli is not happy when she finds out she is working with Tyler MacMillan, but when the dust settles, the two find that together they can make a bright future for their company. But after Sophia's father, Tony, is murdered, the two realize that someone close to them will stop at nothing...even murder, to have control.

"The Villa" is another good outing from bestselling author Nora Roberts, while not as good as "Sanctuary", or "Homeport", the novel does speed along at a fast pace, taking an interesting theme of wine industry, and throwing in a murder mystery to keep readers turning the pages.

Nora Roberts has made a career of writing romantic/suspense novels, and many of her recent bestsellers have been very suspenseful, and although this new book is a little too glossy at times-with it's high fashion settings, and romance, it does maintain a level of suspense to satisfy any reader looking for an entertaining mystery.

Fans should be pleased with "The Villa", which will surely fly to the top of the bestseller list's.

Summary: Roberts at her BEST
Review: If you like romance, suspense, and wine, you will love this book. Sophia Giambelli must work with Tyler MacMillian. Their wineries have been joined together by their grandparents. They must learn each others job and work as a team. They have one year to pull it off. Suddenly they are involved in a scandel that rocks the wine industry. People are dying and someone is out to destroy their winery even resorting to murder. You have a long list of suspects and several different stories lines that all come together perfectly. The characters are so real that you believe they honestly exist and you can relate to them. This a book I could not put down and find myself having to work overtime at work because I spent the whole day finishing this book. Advise: Read this book on the weekend....

Summary: Another home run
Review: As usual, Nora Roberts has hit another home run with her new book. If you were already a fan, you won't be disappointed. If you are a new reader, this is a perfect pitch so get ready to swing. Nora has created a variety of characters who you'll love to love. She has some to hate, too. Mystery, suspense, and danger from guns and poison to hate mail and sabotaged brakes will keep you reading. It all happens in an interesting place and when you add the surprise little twist at the end, you've got a winner. So grab this book and get in the game. Enjoy!
