Summary: One of the Best in the Series
Review: This book is a very good book. It continues the story of those left behind. And the ending is very unexpected but definitely better than I thought it would be!!!

Summary: The Entire Series of Left Behind - Excellent!
Review: The Left Behind Series are absolutely a must read for ANYONE that has a desire to find out how the return of Jesus Christ in the end times MAY happen. If you are searching, these series of books may help you find.

If you are just an action and adventure fan, these books are for you also. The are a "non-stop, don't want to put it down until you are done" type of books. I certainly have enjoyed each and everyone of the books. Sharing and discussing them with family and friends certainly is a fun and rewarding experience.

Summary: Compelling
Review: I have read all of the books in this series, and anxiously await Oct. 31.
I have read many books, by many authors. I must admit, I do not enjoy the writings of those such as Stephen King. I also
spent several minutes of my time, scrolling through the reviews of these books. I noticed two common threads among those
who left negative reviews; they are non-Christian, Stephen King fans. Had they taken the time to compare these books with
the book of Revelations, they would have found that there may be some relevance to what the authors wrote in these books.
The power of God does not have to "have reason" . . . or "make sense" . . . or "be realistic". That is what God is all about . .
. Almighty Power.
I was raised in a Christian home, and have always strived to be the best Christian I felt I could be; without making too many
sacrifices. I must say that this series of books, has caused me to re-evaluate.
I have shared these books with my young adult children, who are not "religous fanatics" at all, to the contrary, they don't
even go to church. They enjoyed them all and found them to be very compelling. These books have made them, also, rethink
many aspects of their lives.
I wonder how many of the people who negatively reviewed this book, based on it's "unrealist . . . not likely to happen . . .
give me a friggin break", happenings, would have thought that the WTC would be removed from the face of earth along with
5,000+ Americans?
Like I said . . . .read Revelations.

Summary: Great Book
Review: The Mark, along with the rest of the series, is the most awesome book I have read. I would recommend this for anyone, whether you are a new believer, been a believer for years or if you're still not sure. This book, along with the rest of the series will bring you to Christ. This book, along with the rest of the series is the number one book I would recommend.

Summary: Moving
Review: I think this book is best described as moving. I give it five stars not because of it's literary quality, and I agree with many that parts of the story and the characters are hardly credible. Such as their resources, although I could argue that since we do not know when the rapture will take place, it could very well be in a more advanced era. Also God always provides for those who believe in him. In fact compared to the parting of the red sea, the characters having such resources available is nothing.
Anyhow, what made the book so moving and thus worth five stars. Requires going beyond the surface and the simple words and characters. I was moved to tears when characters chose death and thus Christ over live and the mark. Described was how at the last moment people, came to Jesus, marks of believers appearing on their forheads as they prayed for salvation. Described was how they sang and worshipped the Lord and endured the blows they received because of it. While these martyrs died for Christ and received life everlasting, millions upon millions received a mark and sentenced themselves to eternal damnation. The meaning of that, the sharp contrast, not only the cruelity of dying for your faith, but eternal damnation for so many, made me weep.
Yes this is fiction, but all of this shall one day come to pass. People shall and even now as I type die for the sake of Christ. Things as this have happened, the apostles died because of their faith. Christians got slaughtered in the colloseums and over the past 2000 years, people have died believing in the Son of God. Going to their deaths the same way, the characters did in the novel. Some only believing at the last minute. Reading that I was reminded of the two men crucified together with Christ, one was saved and the other lost forever. Both made a choice at the last moment, as did the people chosing or refusing the mark in this book.
To me this series is not about the end times. It is about salvation. Read the bible, look at life in general and you'll see that is what it is always about, as in this book. It is about making the choice for Christ, even during the most extreme days of the world. The battle it is about saving souls. Reading these books, people have come to Christ. That is why ultimately I can get passed all of it's flaws. Because in the end the books are not about entertainment, but about salvation. The inspiration that I get from that as a Christian, makes it worth reading. This book deserves more than five stars, and if only one person finds Jesus through these books. Left Behind is worth the hype.

Summary: Gets it going again a bit.
Review: The Indwelling was the most slow of all the Left Behind books, but at least The Mark starts to get it going again. Sure, none of them are as good as the first. But very few sequels are like that, and frankly, every sequel in this series has been pretty darn good. People are looking at this series and labeling it poorly written, not a good plot, they are doing it for the money.

Let me tell you something. This series was written so a wide variety of people, believers or not, would be able to pick it up and understand it, no matter if they start from the beginning or not. What they want to get out is the MESSAGE behind the books; what is going to happen in the near future.

I can't wait for the next book to come out. Hopefully it will be a little better than this and pick up a little bit, but I'll have to wait until Oct. 30.

Summary: Setting the record straight about end-times books
Review: The comparisons between end-times novels which have been made by other reviewers is probably useful, so here's my take on the matter.

Last Day makes no attempt at all to adhere to scriptural prophecy. It is, in fact, less accurate scripturally than The Omen movies or End of Days. If you want a fun read and don't care whether the story has any connection to scripture, it's okay.

Left Behind is an action adventure written primarily for Christians with a huge cross-over into the secular market. It sticks very closely to scripture and to prophecy of the time during the Tribulation. There is never any doubt of the authors' position and which characters are good and which are bad. Beyond that, there's been so much said about Left Behind by other readers that probably every possible opinion has been expressed. Some love it. Some hate it. Personally, I like the Left Behind series a lot.

The Christ Clone Trilogy, my definite favorite among the list, is written for a secular audience with a big cross-over into the Christian market. Through most of the 3 books you don't know what the author's position is or which (if any) of the characters speak for him. Only in the last book do you find out he is a Christian and that he is using his story telling ability to reach the lost with the Gospel and the danger that faces them if they do not accept it.

We All Fall Down is a story of a man forced to make decisions about himself and God when faced by undeniable evidence that the Bible is true. It's an interesting exploration in character but the author's development of the events of the Tribulation is muddled and very thin. The thing most Christians object to about We All Fall Down is the non-stop use of extreme profanity by the main character. It was hard for me to get past all the f-words, and I certainly would not say I enjoyed it, still it made me think.

Summary: The fourth of the four Apocalyptic epics
Review: There are four attempts to achieve the perfect "Apocalyptic" novel/series out there right now. They are: 1. LEFT BEHIND series; 2. CHRIST CLONE series 3. WE ALL FALL DOWN and 4. THE LAST DAY. 1. LEFT BEHIND, in my opinion, is by far the worst of them all. The writing skills are very poor, the characterization simplistic and inconsistent, and the storyline lurching and illogical, throughout. I'll withold judgment on the last books, but have little hope they'll reverse the trend! 2. CHIRST CLONE is a set of three books, and while infinitely better than LEFT BEHIND, it is a derivitive work about cloning Christ from the blood of the shroud, a subject that's already been covered years ago (and more excitingly, I might add) on several TV shows, including OUTER LIMITS. A tired topic. 3. WE ALL FALL DOWN was also far better than LEFT BEHIND, and also better than CHRIST CLONE. It is better written, moves well, and is intelligent. It is somewhat sensationalistic and gratutious in many places, however, and I felt it was slow and lost steam in the second half. 4. THE LAST DAY is the original Apocalyptic novel, published years before any of the others, and in my opinion, the freshest and most exciting of the lot. The writing is not only top shelf, the story is fascinating and unpredictalbe from the first page. If it has a main shortcoming (and there are several minor ones), it is that in places it can be rather critical of some religions (particularly Catholicism), although in my view, the criticisms are hardly disingenuous. Of these four Apocalyptic efforts, THE LAST DAY is the only one I feel will continue to be read years from now, and has a shot at being labeled a "classic."
