Summary: Book 8??? How about shameless salesmanship?
Review: I agree with an earlier reviewer in that I bought the book because I had been hooked into the series. It soon became clear that Book 8 is a shameless shell that acts only as a bridge, or leader, into subsequent books.

I'll read the rest of the series; however, the authors can rest assured that I'll cost share with other readers.

Summary: A Disappointment
Review: After the wait, The Mark was a disappointment. It was good to see what happened with the Tribulation Force, but there were too many jumps in the storyline--especially toward the end. LaHaye and Jenkins have written much better books in this series, and I hope their next book is in keeping with the earlier books.

Summary: The weakest one yet
Review: This one didn't do it for me. We're hooked, and the authors know that, and it seems this one was almost pure filler. All of the previous books ended with a cliffhanger, but it was a cliffhanger AFTER the climax. This one ends BEFORE the climax, which angers me because I have to wait another 9 months before I can finish this book. There's a difference between writing a series and a very long, single book. I was left very unsatisfied, and I think I'm done with this series for good.

Summary: Love the series
Review: I love the series. They are providing an excellent interpretation of the End Times. However, the series could be one or two good size books. It is starting to seem as though Jenkins and LaHaye are trying to drag this out. The books are an extremely easy read with 1 inch margins and huge gaps between the lines. I wish that each book had more substance.

Summary: God bless the end of the world... I can't wait
Review: The end is near and I am about to burst with happiness, joy, elation, and smiles a plenty. I have read all of Jerry and Tim's books, and this is the best book since Indwelling. I love the way they make the reader feel a part of the rapture, they really bring it on home and make you feel like you are there. I hope they make books like this for years and years to come, because I love the idea of the world ending. If God would sell tickets to the rapture I would like to buy front row seats, so I could see the burning and destruction of all those hippies, evolutionists, abortion doctors, and athiests. They will surely burn first!! And for the reviewers out there who attack us God fearing christians, shame on you. You know the bible is more than just a book written by men, it is the divine word of God. If you don't follow it and interpret it literally you will go to hell and not be saved. All the other religions and people of the world who know not of christianity are obviously going to hell. Save yourself and convert or go to hell. That is the message of the lord, believe what we do and be saved or think for yourself and spend eternity in the fiery depths of hell with the wicked lucifer. Think about it - all of us christians are praying you make the right decision. God is love, but only if you believe the biblical God and not those other false religion Gods. Thank you Jerry and Tim, you are true christian leaders of our time. You and your other readers inspire me to believe and think the way I do. I have you to thank for my christian lifestyle and I know lots of people out there who are fighting the good fight for mine and your beliefs. Together we can overturn the separation of church and state, and make Christianity once and for all our national religion - so everyone will have to think and believe the way God intends it. (With Bush in office we have a real shot now!!) God bless the USA and all you Christians who are just like me. Thanks

Summary: something of a cheat
Review: I have up until now enjoyed all of the books in the Left Behind series. The Mark seems to "miss the mark" for me. It is a short story spaced out to fit a novel size book. Wide margins and double spacing make easy reading, but not much content. The story is still well written, but not much new was added to the story. I feel that the publishers may have made a mistake in pushing the authors to extend the series to a year-by-year account of the tribulation. This book did not have the excitement of the others in the series.

Summary: Great book!
Review: What a blessing these books are! The Mark as well as the rest of the Left Behind series are excellent. The characters and the story line are fantastic. These books are a great witnessing tool as well. I have encouraged several people to read the books and some have been saved after reading them. I invite everyone to read these books you will not be disappointed. There is also a kid's series for your children to read. I have read these as well and they are just as interesting as the adult version. The series is also available as a dramatic audio and there is also a video on the first book. Once you start to read the books you can't put them down and even though the characters are fiction the story line is REAL. Thank you God for Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins and for giving them the knowledge and the talent to write these books.

Summary: I felt like I was there!
Review: At church the other day, during worship, I was thinking about what heaven would be like. For a momennt I got excited at the thought of meeting Tsion, Buck and the Tribulation Force...then I had to remind myself that they are fiction. The first half of this book was especially captivating. It took me through every emotion. It also taught me, as it relayed the authors opinions of last day events. Though fiction, I do believe that future events could be similar, and the Christians alive at that time will truly be my heros.

Summary: The Mark
Review: This book is really good. Sure it might not have been as exciting as the previous books. But let me tell you, it sure set up the story for the next book. The next book is going to be awesome. Just watch. Definately pick this one up.
