Review: In this novel Mulford introduces the reader to many of the heros and villians that populate the Cassidy series. It tells of the founding of the Bar 20 ranch in west Texas and the arrival of each of the ranch's main characters. Written in the early 20th century, the book contains references and stereotypes that may offend some readers. Nonetheless, it remains a classic of Western humor, action and adventure.
