Summary: Not to Be Missed
Review: Donaghy--an expatriot New Yorker who has lived for many years in London--is a rare voice in contemporary poetry. His poems are wickedly smart, formally adept, and truly moving. His poems are little miracles of compression, containing more smarts and emotion in a few lines than most contemporary poets pack into an entire collection. Definitely worthwhile.

Summary: A Master Who Sidesteps Categorization
Review: This is one of the finest collections I've read in years - wildly imaginative, moving, and technically accomplished. I find it specially compelling because it incorporates all the imaginative daring of early modernism with an elegant mastery of traditional forms.
