Summary: Excellent novel for the mature audience.
Review: I've never read any of Mrs. Wesley mystery novel. I normally read romance novels. The title and cover caught my eye one day while walking through a book store.

I really did enjoy this novel from cover to cover. Eva and Hutch went through a period of fall out of love. I think that alot of couples go through this sometimes but they must remember what it was about the person that they fell in love with at first and try to get that fire going again. I must say the only thing I didn't like about the book was the affair between Eva and Isaiah. The affair was good for Eva but mother and daughter shouldn't be involved with the same person. I think that Raye had a itch for Hutch all along. Raye took too much from Donald. I was glad when she finally woke up and left him. Donald was a true junk yard dog.

This book covered real issues that families face each day regarding love, hurt, decisions and friendship. Mrs. Wesley this is a well written novel. I wish you much success. For this to be your first romance novel you did an outstanding job. Be Blessed!

Summary: Mind your own business!
Review: What an excellent book! This was my first time reading one of her books, had never even heard of her mystery books. Not my genre of reading. This book, however, held my attention from page one. At the beginning, you wonder how bad Eva could be to make her husband just up and leave in the middle of the night. She doesn't seem like she would be a very likable character. As the book progresses, however, you learn to know and even like Eva. The same goes for Hutch. You can even understand how the situations happened as they did for Eva and Isaiah, Hutch and Raye. Donald, Raye's husband, deserved everything she did to him. Talk about the world's biggest dog! Eva's relationships with her father and daughter were also nicely told. Being a mother, I could totally understand how the child that you have loved and cared for can be the one to hurt you the most. I could also relate as to how hard it can be to finally realize they are grown and have to live, learn and make their own mistakes. By and large, I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it to others to read.
