Summary: Good book, Fast read
Review: Fast Women is a mystery, romance, and funny novel all wrapped into one. The book was drawn out a bit, but still kept you interested in the storyline. Jennifer Crusie is definately a very talented writer. I've read all of her novels...check out Welcome To Temptation after you read this novel.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Not to be confused with Fasting Women
Review: Jennifer Crusie again affirms life through food, sex, humor, and a heck of a good story in Fast Women. Nell Dysart, obviously not at the highest point in her life, comes to work at Gabe McKenna's detective agency, and finds herself at the nexus of a twenty-year-old mystery involving her ex-husband's family. It's a well-executed and unpredictable plotline, but as with other Crusie novels, the plot is not the point. The way it is written is what makes this book stand out above others in both the romance and suspense genres. And the laugh-per-page ratio is very high.

But what do you expect from a woman who claims to get her ideas from Sears? Who says researching her sex scenes is a hassle because she always has to keep one hand free to take notes? Crusie (who is working on a PhD in literature) is herself at least as fascinating as her characters, to whom she pays the utmost attention as they grieve, recover, and find their strengths as women and lovers.

I highly recommend Fast Women for a wonderful escapist read, with one caveat: don't read while you're waiting at an airport. You'll miss your flight announcement.

Summary: What a steamy read!
Review: Since I have been laid up on bedrest due to my pregnancy ~~ I was glad that I had already bought Jennifer's newest paperback last spring ~~ she really helped me escape the doldrums with this fun, fast-paced and steamy, ... novel! I admit that I am a Jennifer Crusie fan (it helps that she is from Ohio!) and reading this book reminds me why I enjoy reading her stuff so much!!

Nell Dysart was floundering from a bitter divorce and struggling with a loss of appetite as well when she stumbles into a job interview at a shabby detective agency in German Village. She never knew that this job was just perfect for her ~~ as well as the owner of the agency was going to be her soulmate ~~ Gabe McKenna isn't your typical suave guy ~~ nope, he's rough around the edges hiding a sensitive heart. And this is their story as they both work on a murder case that had happened years ago, involving Nell's ex-inlaws and Gabe's father. It is full of twists and turns, snappy comments and fun characters ~~ all that makes a good afternoon reading worthwhile!

If you're looking for a perfect read to take to the pool or the beach ~~ this book would be just the pick for you! It's light, funny and steamy! Jennifer Crusie has yet to disappoint me!!
