Review: When does a city lose its "realness" and start to become a Disneyland-type attraction? Could we say that when the number of visitors or tourists exceeds its regular number of inhabitants, then it risks this demise ? This book allows us to see through the eyes of some of this and last century's greats; Hemmingway, Gertrude Stein, Albert Camus etc. It's the best guide book around if you want to discover why Paris became great before crass commercialism invaded to meet the demands of the perinneal waves of tourists.....
