Summary: A novel with a purpose
Review: Elyse's book, the first of a series on women of valor, combines the relaxation of a novel with the interest of history. She is a pleasing writer and her books have valuable information in a readable format. If you like a gentle read, albeit with some riviting suspense, Elyse Larson and her books will suit you to a tee. This first book deals with close cousins caught up in the start of WWII in Europe.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Great book!!!!!
Review: I absolutely loved this book. I read it from front to back in one sitting. Elyse Larson is an intelligent writer that kept my attention the entire time. The interesting part was that I had just finished reading a nonfiction book that very closely paralleled "For Such a Time as This". Elyse Larson certainly did her homework on World War II. The story is about a World War II Red Cross Worker that volunteers to parachute into occupied France to sneak her French Resistant cousin and two children out. Larson did a remarkable job showing the dangers and reality of living under Nazi oppression.

Summary: Accurate portrayal of World War II
Review: I have read countless books on World War II. However, I have not read any about those working for the French Resistance. This book didn't just talk about some person in some town being tortured by some group of people. You were really shown how the war affected many different people scattered throughout the world and those who decided they could no longer stand by and watch hate spread like wild fire. The author was very descriptive, but not so much that it was boring. I would highly recommend this book to all those with a passion to learn more on World War II, and all those who simply appreciate a well written book.
