Summary: The story of a great woman...
Review: "The Rich shall Inherit" is the story of one remarkable woman, who rebuilt her life after it was shattered by the men of her life. Poppy Mallory is the center of this story, and we see what happens to her in flashback. Mike Preston is the award-winning journalist who finds himself intrigued by Poppy's story, and tries to find Poppy's heir. But first, he has to unravel decades-old secrets, and get to the root of who her illegitamate children were. There is a pleasant mix of characters, all with their own motivations to see who the true heir(s) are. Thick book, but you'll breeze through it.

Summary: Great read but....
Review: As I have experienced with other Elizabeth Adler works, it took me a few chapters to get wholly engrossed in the story. But once I did, it took hold of me and wouldn't let me put it down. The characters are so well-defined and the mystery is expertly woven. I found myself rooting for the underdog and booing the villians. Although history has never been my cup of tea, I was entranced by the trials and tribulations of Poppy Mallory's life, and I found myself wanting to skip ahead through the present-day segments in order to be back in Poppy's world. As I closed the book for the last time, I had mixed feelings in that I was elated at how the tale ended, but sad that it had indeed ended. Now I am trying to decide who to pass this book to, as I am eager to share this beautifully written story with someone.

Summary: THIS IS A GREAT LOVE STORY
Review: iF YOU STILL BELIEVE IN LOVE THIS IS THE RIGHT BOOK FOR YOU. I liked this book because it shows you about determination and courage, and also about the value of family. Can you imagine being all alone in a strange country ? with no money and no family to turn to ? This is what happened to Poppy, the chartacter, she was all alone and after getting betrayed by her love, she fights and struggles to get her life back, that is when she finds the love of her life, that makes her feel alive again. It's also incredibly romantic, If you read it, you'll either want to be there or you'll wish there was a movie about it!!!

Summary: Great read but....
Review: Poppy Mallory was a woman who lead a very difficult and interesting life and upon death left her inheritance to her heir. The problem was... who was the heir... an ad had been placed in the paper asking the heir to make him/herself known. Mike Preston, an investigative journalist found the add and decided he would investigate who was the rightful heir, for the sake of a book he wanted to write. Several people answered the ad, all believing they were the true heirs. As a reader also stated, I found myself rooting for some and hoping others were not. I liked the fact that present and past events were mixed in throughout the book. The only problem I had was that it didn't end as I would have hoped; slightly disappointed, but as I have read the reviews of others, they all seem quite satisfied.. so you be the judge.

Summary: Tangled Web of Family History and Scandal Is Thrilling Read
Review: This is the unforgettable and totally captivating story of Poppy Mallory. From Poppy's tragic youth spent with a n'er-do-well gambling addict who allowed her to be raised by ladies of the evening and orphanages, to her rise as a notorious woman of France, I was totally engrossed in finding out what would happen next. A life punctuated by lost love and the great sadness of giving birth to two children she could never fully know, make this one of the best novels I've read this year.

When investigative journalist Mike Preston is commissioned to find the missing heir/heiress to Poppy Mallory's fortune, he uncovers an incredibly tangled family tree and uproots all its darkest secrets. From California to Venice to Paris and around the globe, this fascinating story unfolds with a richly-textured plot and distinctive characters.

From the very beginning, when Poppy's father Jeb Mallory concocts a plan with immigrant Nikolas Konstant, the story leads readers on a magical mystery of scandals, lies, and deception. Who will emerge as the true heir becomes almost second in importance to the interesting lives Poppy, her friends, and descendents live. Her childhood friends Angel and Greg Konstant, her first love Felipe and her unforgettable lover Franco as well as all the offspring of these characters are woven into a remarkable tale that you won't want to put down. This book is ingenious, well-plotted, and totally intriguing. I look forward to reading more by this author.

Summary: Excellent read
Review: This was the first Elizabeth Adler book I read all the way through (I didn't enjoy her first two novels Peach/Private Desires) I have read TRSI about 4 times over a period of five years, and I still enjoy hearing the story of Poppy Mallory and her descendants. Even thought I have enjoyed all her other books I still rate this as the best
