Summary: My analysis of this book: Fantastic.
Review: Waking Walt by Larry Pontius is a novel that everyone should read. The style and detail make you believe that Cryonics has advanced to the point of working. The "what ifs" are the mainstay of this book. What if a ruthless corporate raider attempted to take over the Disney Corporation and sell off the assets which then would be the end of everything Walt Disney worked for? Is it too late to save or are there those that know the secret of Walt's death? Walt still has many friends and protectors. And Walt is tougher than some give him credit to be. Larry Pontius has written a Blue Ribbon novel that should place him at the top of the heap in the literary field. Only one word describes my analysis of this book: Fantastic.

Review: Walt Disney represents all that is good in the world. He made fairy tales come true to so many of us, if only for a few hours on the screen or by making believe at Disneyland. Wouldn't we all love to have him come back today, especially during this time of crisis in leadership for his company? Not long after Walt died in 1966, the rumor arose that he did not actually die-but rather that the forward-thinking genius had himself cryogenically frozen, to be brought back to life when a cure for his lung cancer had been found. Legends like that are not new-we all long for that hero who will come back and rescue us from the evil clutches of the villain du jour. But what if this legend just happened to be true? Larry Pontius, former Vice President of Marketing for The Walt Disney Company, dared to ask himself that question. And then he dared to write a book to answer it. Waking Walt is suspenseful, fun and heart-warming. For everyone who secretly wishes Walt really were frozen and that we really could bring him back to save the day, Waking Walt is our wish fulfillment. If you love Walt, you'll love Waking Walt.
