Rating: Summary: Perfect for busy lives Review: A very easy reading book, with short chapters (ideal for busy people late at night)that's easy to pick up. The story is uncomplicated, contains life lessons most people can relate to and bounds along at a lovely pace. I enjoyed it so much I bought his other books too.
Rating: Summary: Sweet but Indecisive Review: Fantastic, brilliant, need I say more! I didn't know there was so much passion in those green fingers of Alan Titchmarsh. A really easy read that you will find difficult to put down. A heart warming story mixed with so many emotions ranging from passion and lust to despair, anger and sadness. I enjoyed this book so much I bought more by Alan Titchmarsh

Rating: Summary: Sweet but Indecisive Review: It's very difficult for me to say anything bad about Mr. Titchmarsh, as I am truly an admirer, but this one got a little lost along the way. This book makes an attempt to address issues of animal rights and environmentalism and yet never makes a firm commitment one way or another. He waffles throughout the story, making it difficult to know which characters you were meant to like or dislike! He should stick to his soppy under-developed romance plots if he can't take a firm stand on anything controversial. However, if like Alan Titchmarsh, you have never actually formed ANY opinions about fox-hunting or the preservation of wild lands, then you may LOVE this sweet, gentle story, written in Alan's own wide-eyed dreamy style. But I much preferred his last book, The Last Lighthouse Keeper - by staying clear of highly-charged issues, that story felt more honest, and therefore was much more enjoyable to read. Pure escapism.
Rating: Summary: Delightful... Review: Mr Alan Titchmarsh continues to amaze me. I find myself always getting caught up with his efforts on "Ground Force" and now find that he is quite an author. This book moves along quite nicely and with interesting twists and turns. The charachters come across as real and breathing, interesting. I found it hard to put the book down.I highly suggest this book! Thank you Mr. Titchmarsh for more delights. The only thing I cant figure is the feathers on the cover. Not a goose in the book...
