Summary: A Visit to Old Friends
Review: The fourth book of the Penny Parrish series takes place during WWII, and Penny, in New York, has her first part in a Broadway play. Before rehearsals start, she pays a three week visit to Ft. Knox, where the rest of the Parrishes are stationed, including newlyweds David and Carrol. Handsome Terry Hayes, now a Major, makes an appearance escorting a ravishing brunette, much to Penny's surprise. There is even a mystery of Nancy Drew proportions that Penny stumbles into. The time goes fast, and soon Col. Parrish and David are set to leave for overseas duty. The rest of the book is about Penny's adventures breaking into the world of show business. It is an entertaining and easy read and I finished it so fast, I thought I was going to go into withdrawal, before the next book arrived. Fortunately, it arrived the next day.

For those who loved reading about the Parrish family, this book about the grown-up Penny is a must.
