Rating: Summary: Richo spins a tale of BIGFOOT, but bars too many holds. Review: The story begins interestingly enough, and has plausible characters, mostly adapted from his own family. It then spins its readers into a heavily Freudsian self indulgent trip of some less than realistic war scenes with the typical USA 'god it was bad in 'nam' and trips into the odd tangent. It was refreshing that the violence was subdued, but unfortunate that the writer wished not to tread beyond his depth. The hero was rather unconvincingly a 'nam vet. ie. He has all his limbs, and doesn't rely on the governments 'disposible society' pet care. It is however, technically well written prose and a well edited book. One cannot help but wonder if the chap who wrote this story was watching his spelling too much as he wrote, taming the fire too much, and was blueing his .22 wishing his sprite would divulge a REAL story of building 'the new Rome' and remaining true to his love while on duty. One suspects his next work might be titled 'starling bb eyes & the rotten foreigner next door'. It would be unfair to close without saying that 'creatures of id' was of inspiration, hate, reconcilliation and it inspired this reviewer to write an influenced rebuke to the prose menace. Look forward to 'FENCE JUMPERS', the antidote to the 'classic novel'. Think of sculpting while tending the dictionary with a white hot key.
