Rating: Summary: a VERY critical introduction Review: not sure what Kennedy's beef is with Said, highly critical of his work, but if you can skim over her own personal bias against Said it is a good intro, I guess. actually, I find it better just to read Said's works firsthand, and each can make his/her own judgement. Said is pretty straightforward--not like Spivak--so I recommend just skiping this intro and use your money to buy Orientalism or Culture and Imperialism instead.
