Summary: Jim's best to date!!!!!
Review: If you're a long time of the Destroyer series, you'll truly enjoy this book. Chiun is back to leaving bodies for Remo to clean up. Remo continues to flex his authority as reigning master, albeit with the MOS Emeritus watching his every move. There are plenty of Remo and Chiun *moments*, lots of action, and a new Russian temptress. If you're a new reader, you'll like the plot, action, and humor. Either way, BUY the book. Plus I'm in the dedication, so it just has to be good!

Sad to say Jim is leaving the series. Damn.

Summary: Unreadable
Review: James Mullaney's last Destroyer novel sees Mullaney's jingoism take center stage. Instead of an enjoyable novel, Mullaney has produced a rant about his perceived "ass-kickness" of America. This continues and completes Mullaney's tendencies to place his politics over writing an entertaining novel. As a long-standing Destroyer fan, I found this book to be utterly unreadable and unenjoyable. It left me with the hope that the new series writer has a better grasp of satire.

Summary: Waste Not, Want Not (Destroyer #130)
Review: Jim Mullaney already had his reputation as an enjoyable author and one of the all-time BEST of the Destroyer scribes;but this effort seals that rep in spades.

The plot is another of those great satires that the series is famous for, replete with broad characterisations of certain attitudes common for Our Times. Remo and Chiun are of course,Remo and Chiun, just the way we fans like `em. The garbage pile Our Heroes find themselves mired in this outing ( quite literally) is the type that Destroyer fans delight in,with scams to reveal, designs of avarice to wreck, and truths to be told.

I don`t want to ruin anyone`s enjoyment with a specific reveal; (that`s the Hell of reviewing!)so I shall restrain myself here, but suffice to say that after reading The Destroyer for over 25 years,I know what I`m talking about when I speak of it. This does not disappoint.
