Review: Among the writers included in "others" this wonderful volume includes one of the richest resources available on that unfairly overlooked pioneering playwrite, novelist, and short story writer Alice Childress. This book is a must have for anyone interested in American literature. The combination of essays by and about the various writers is just perfect. My ongoing congratuations to the editor who is herself a wonderful literary artist.
