Summary: Kocialski does her homework!
Review: Another great read with Dean and Katie solving an international crime. I love the military language, Kocialski's subject knowledge and all the gadgets and gizmos. Very cool technical equipment (C-12 explosive gel could solve some of my household problems...) And details, great details about the diving manuevers. I found myself holding my breath more than once. Some genuinely great moments. Best line of the book: "We can handle them, they're just women." HA! I recommend you start by reading the background info. on blue holes found in the back of the book.

Summary: Suspense in Paradise!
Review: Blue Holes to Terror

Beautiful scenery combined with suspenseful - heart in your throat drama!

Dean and Katie - first introduced in Forces of Evil - are called, once again, into service for their country. On "vacation" in the Bahamas, on a luxury yacht with friends - nothing is as it appears to be. What is the one clue they are missing? Who are the key players? What or who is the bad guys' target? What is their objective?

While puzzling out all the players, the two women are also faced with questions - will their still somewhat new relationship survive the latest round of dangers? Will they survive this latest mission?

Once again the author takes the reader along for a fantastic ride!

Summary: Getting better
Review: Kocialski's work is getting better. Her style in Blue Holes is tighter than in Forces of Evil, which may be due to it being a shorter book. She's getting better at love scenes, though she can use some improvement still. She would save the best one for the last page of the book. And there's a reference to a strange character at the end of this book that may indicate a third book about Dean and Katie. If her writing improves as much in that one as it did for this book, the next one should be a real winner. As it is, this is a nice tight, book with plenty of excitement and a better developed relationship. If nothing else, you'll feel better thinking that there are people like this actually working in the government to keep us safe. And if they aren't, they ought to be.
