Summary: North Florida as It Was
Review: As a native of North Florida, I found the three books completly accurate in the protrail of a part of Florida that is often overlooked. Not only do they provide a look at this little known slice of North Florida, they make a very good read.

Summary: A story about innocence in our time
Review: This is a story about a murder, but on a deeper level, it is about innocence. Ben Hersey takes off to the big city as a young man and is constantly pulled back home, finally returning to the small community of Fletcher in north Florida, on the Suwannee River. There he tries to build a life for himself and his bride. They have children and are beginning to enjoy life together when trouble intervenes in the shape of an old acquaintance. They find themselves stalked, but refuse to believe that anything bad will happen. Their innocence is the innocence of their time, and their tragedy is the tragedy of their time. A wonderful read.
