Summary: An Emerging Voice
Review: Circumstantial Voice is an interesting collection of works from this new poet. Ginger is my favourite American poetess and one of the freshest voices to emerge in a very long time. Her poems are at once snapshots and also 3 dimensional images of life as she sees it. Her poetry just buzzes with life and promise. I have read her work for quite some time now and to find these poems in one place is like finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Her words are a treat for the eyes and the soul. What a treat it would be to hear her read them out loud! I love to re-read her poems and I look forward to the next installment of her work

Review: Circumstantial Voice
by Ginger MeederA poetry book that's eminently approachable, "Circumstantial Voice" has something for everyone. The poem entitled "A Childless Woman's Cries Unto Heaven" is an astounding and moving piece of art. I'm very visual, and I could see the poet's pain. Some of the Haikus are like a punch in the stomach: "Torments of a Homeless Man"
pained eyes peirce through cap
piss runs down his frozen leg
warmth for a moment There are many wonderful poems and photographs in this book. My favorite photo is of the poet on her bicycle as a child in the 1970's. For a long time, I avoided poetry, but this book breathes life back into the artform. It scratches at your soul. The wide variety of styles and emotions in Ginger Meeder's poetry book provide fuel for thought. There is humor and heaviness. Perfect for the living. It will be read again and again.

Review: This new poet on the scene should keep on writing! I can't wait to see more work. I'd like to see her give live readings. Come to Portland! We have lots of coffee shops with poetry readings.
