Summary: THE GREATEST BOOK OF ALL TIME!!!
Review: The only way to describe this book is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! I finished it last night and this morning I was on the phone telling all of my closest and dearest friends about it. My sister gave me the book during a very traumatic time in my life and she told me "Read it when you're ready". I have never read a book that stood out like this. The words just seems to put you on that dark back road huddled together with the character's. Mor and Lifee's life-force seem to have placed me right in the book with them and I became a part of their family too. I believe EVERYONE should read The Wake Of The Wind. I will never feel the wind again and not think about this book.

Review: THIS BOOK IS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL, EXCELLENT READ, I HAVE READ THIS BOOK TWICE, AND EACH TIME, I WAS LEFT FEELING LIKE I KNEW THE CHARACTERS. I NEVER WANTED THE STORY TO END, BECAUSE IT WOULD MEAN I HAD TO STOP READING THE BOOK. TO ANYONE WHO IS AN AVID READER, I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK, IT IS AWSOME. J. CALIFORNIA COOPER IS AN EXCELLENT AUTHOR.

Summary: I was blown away!
Review: Though I always enjoy Ms. Cooper's amusing storytelling, I was amazed by the stories she told to create this masterpiece. When I read "Wake of the Wind" in 1999, it was breathtaking and virtually left me speechless (to review it) until now!In this novel, the author digs deeper and gives us MORE. Though this novel discusses the horror of slavery, it grabs your attention and holds it... because there are more lessons to learn. Ms Cooper always teaches us something new or reminds us of lessons taught by our ancestors. During this class, you will learn to: 1. Love and forgive just as God loves (John 3:16) and forgives (Matthew 6:14).
2. Cherish your family. They are so precious and will always remain when everything else is gone (i.e., money, possessions, hair, fertility).
3. Love in the midst of adversity. Hate is such a draining and self-defeating emotion.
4. Cry sometimes. It feels good to release pain on the shoulder of one stronger than you.
5. Laugh when the tears have dried. It's good medicine.
6. Rejoice always!
7. Live joyously! "Wake of the Wind" will blow you away, and evoke emotions that may have been buried for all these years. You will learn to deal with the pain so that you may experience the joy that awaits you!
