Review: very well written book. chuckle-out-loud funny, fascinating setting, well conceived story and intelligent message. this is one of the coolest bits of 20th century fiction i've ever read. a lot of parallels between the protagonist al mannheim and nick carraway in 'the great gatsby'. no wonder f. scott fitzgerald liked it.
