Summary: Unequaled Christian Fantasy
Review: J.R.R. Tolkien was undoubtedtly the premier Christian fantasy writer with his Lord of the Rings trilogy. Apart from that, I have not found any Christian Fantasy to speak of. I think C.S. Lewis wrote some sci-fi stuff (but no fantasy).

This book is an exception. Of course, it does not compare to Tolkiens work, but it is SO good. If you are looking for great Christian fantasy (or not a Christian, but just like fantasy), this book is a great read. Alcorn really brings this other-world to life. The words make this world so visual. It really is a theatre of the mind!

Summary: Eye opening & soul stirring!
Review: Once again Randy Alcorn makes us look within and into the Bible with his wonderful allegory "Edge of Eternity". A book that causes you to ponder, cry, cry out to God, and helps you see exactly who you are as you travel the red road along with Nick Seagrave and the rest of the chasm-crossers. A must read for anyone looking for the "right path."

Summary: Best book I've ever read
Review: This book reads like your worse nightmare and your most beatific dream. Protagonist Nick Seagrave, an ex-Marine, Nam vet, and Mr. Tough Businessman is cast into a surreal world of windows and portals, instantly blending visions of beauty and delight with the horrors of hell. In utter helplessness he is chased by a brutal pterodactyl, cringing in a cave, where he reads a cryptic three-line message: "FORWARD" "RED ROAD HOME" "BE CAREFUL WHO YOU TRUST". His journey through this world of windows, and the people and spiritual beings he meets unfolds the story of the Fall of the Image-Bearers, the Price Paid for Redemption, the lies of the Pretender, and the ultimate Triumph of the King. You will find it hard to put this book down, and be utterly refreshed at the end as you were confused at the beginning. So spiritually uplifting, and a tale to cherish as we walk the red road home.

Summary: Every choice has a consequence
Review: This is the second fiction novel by Randy Alcorn that I have read, I was not dissapointed. At first I was a bit lost in this "unknown world", but the way it is told is fascinating. One day Nick Seagrave wakes up in a strange unfriendly place, to meet questionable characters...then has choices to make which he only understands at the end of his trip (and even the destination seems out of reach at times).

This book was truly enjoyable. Without being too aware of it, Randy A. has once again made me think about the way I live MY life, and if I may find much treasure or not in the end.

Summary: Keep Reading, it gets better
Review: Very good. At first I was sort of thrown by the allegory and thought it to be rather obvious, but after a while you realize the genius that is at work. There are lessons here for all of us along with a rather unique and fun tale of another world.
