Review: Very enjoyable. Beautiful descriptions, figurative language (but not purple prose), and an array of senses on the page. A lovely culturally rich tale of love, friendship, set in a different time and place (Poland). It touches fairy tale status at times.

It's an engaging novel using time as a trickster, reaching far into the past and spinning toward the future. Definitely recommended reading. This is one I've told friends and family they must read.
