Summary: One of my all-time favorites!
Review: This book is my favorite coming-of-age story. I picked up this novel in 1995 for no other reason than the cover caught my eye. I read the back and decided to give it a try.

What a find!

The story is what being a teenaged boy is really like. First crushes, rebelling against your parents and teachers, being mischievous for no other reason than the sheer pleasure of it -- that's what I remember about my teen years and that's what memories this book elicits from me. Neither judgmental nor sentimental, it succinctly portrays the joys and fears -- and sometime tragedies -- of growing up.

It's truly a shame that Mr. Fuhrman only had the opportunity to write one -- albeit perfect -- novel. I would have been an avid reader throughout his life.

Summary: Childhood captured
Review: This book was like revisiting the past. Chris Fuhrman captured childhood perfectly.
