Summary: Good for plenty of laughs
Review: If you're tired of those books that read formulaic, you might want to give "Chasing Horses" a try. Different style, different type of story. This book delivers plenty of comedy and romance, with a bit of suspense, and an ending I wasn't expecting.

The characters are wacky, the situations they manage to get themselves into zany, and the plot one that ambles along, showing Ricki's journey from a woman who feels as if she has lost herself to a woman confident in what she wants and who she is.

Summary: This is a Fun Book!
Review: Just finished this book after reading French's second book, and I'm impressed. Don't see how the author can write one book that is so disturbing, after writing this one, which is nothing but fun. In my opinion, it takes talent to cross genres, and this author does it smoothly and effortlessly.

"Chasing Horses" is a fun read - Ricki England is quirky and full of spunk. Her friend, Charlie, is a hoot. I love the WAR concept and the vigilante group. I like the way French addresses women's issues - with sensitivity yet with humor. Like the suspense thrown in at the end.

Great book that would make a great movie, and I've become a fan of this author. Wish there were other books out there by her.

Summary: Feel Good Book
Review: Ricki England personifies the super moms of the world, who have devoted most of their adult lives to their family, but who eventually feel the need to focus on themselves. "Chasing Horses" tackles serious issues for women in a comedic style, with off-the-wall charcters and situations. The WAR group is a wonderful idea, and the vigilante group that comes from this support group nutsy and funny as hell.

One reviewer referred to this as a hen's lit book. I'd agree with that. It's fun, grossly entertaining, and a book that left me feeling good - laughter is the best medicine.
