Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Romance + Laughter = Fun Review: "Chasing Horses" deals with a woman in her 30's who finds herself divorced and her efforts to fulfill her goal to live life to its fullest. And gosh, does she ever. Ricki England's exploits are funny as all get-out. The WAR group is a great idea. Their soirees, as the author calls them, are hilarious, especially the one with the drug dealer. The Southern dialogue is fun. The relationship between Ricki and her ex-husband Danny was my favorite part. If you're looking for a book that's got romance, humor, and is issue-related, try this one. I guarantee you'll laugh your way through it.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Lighthearted and fun Review: "Chasing Horses" is one of those books meant purely for entertainment. A contemporary story, I found it to be lighthearted and comedic with zany characters and situations. Ricki England is a divorced woman in her late 30's trying to find herself, after 20 years of marriage to the same man. The WAR group she is part of tries to rectify unjust situations, and when that doesn't occur, Ricki and her two best friends step in and take more drastic measures. Those are some of the best chapters in the book. For those who like serious fiction, this is not the book for you. For those who like to laugh and have fun with a book, I think this is a good choice.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This Book Offers The Reader Everything You Could Ask For Review: 'Chasing Horses' by Christy Tillery French deals with a variety of issues as she leads the reader thru a phase in the life of Ricki England, a woman with spunk and character who, after 20 years of marriage, is trying to find herself through somewhat wacky means while dealing with issues which face women in their 30's. There is much laughter, as well as sadness, and titillation. The romance sizzles in places, is hilarious in others. Ms. French also throws in some suspense to sweeten the mix! There are places you'll laugh so hard, you'll think you're going to "bust a gut." Then there are places that are heart-wrenching, not to mention the romance which ranges from sensual to downright naughty! If you like the writing styles of Janet Evanovich or Sue Grafton, try French. Her humorous style of writing and her creativity with dialogue are great!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Good plot Review: After reading "Chasing Demons" by this author, I ordered her others. "Chasing Horses" is a different kind of book, written in an engaging style. It's interesting to see the author's growth from book to book. Although this was apparently her first and is what I would consider a little "rough around the edges," I give this one 5 stars because I thought the plot was great, the characters wacky (especially out-of-control Ricki), and the fast pace of the story one that kept me wanting to continue.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: I finished reading this book Review: But will not bother with another by this author. Based on the good reviews I ordered it and gave to a friend who told me she did not like it...so I wanted to see if it was really that bad..Originally I think the author had a good idea but the plot was not developed, the characters were shallow. This was a porly written book.

Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Worst Book Ever Review: I like to think of myself as a well rounded reader and I recommended this book, based on other reviews, for this month's book club selection. I have not disliked a book so strongely in a very long time. The writing was boring, not an interesting plot, and too much information about her sex life. Based on this book, I would be hard pressed to ever pick up another book by this author.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Terrific Fun! Review: I really like this new writer and I think that any reader who loves a sexy yet fun storyline in the romance novels they read will have as much fun as I did with CHASING HORSES. Do yourself a favor and add this book to your next MUST READ books from Amazon.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Easy read Review: I recently heard this term and think it applies to "Chasing Horses". Ricki England is a woman in her late 30's who finds herself divorced and head of a women's group called Women Aware and Responsive (WAR). From this group, Ricki and two of her best friends form a vigilante group that tries to (at times illegally) rectify situations WAR is unable to passively resolve. That's where the fun starts. Ricki, still in love with her somewhat-controlling ex-husband, begins an intense sexual relationship with a homicide detective. The conflicts she and her ex get into only add fuel to the smoldering fire between them. The characters in this book are great: quirky and Southern to the core. The dialogue is fun, the situations WAR and the vigilante group involves themselves with hilarious, and the chemistry between Ricki and Danny sizzling. This is a fun book that moves at a fast pace and left me laughing out loud at times.
