Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A Superb Read Review: This book is so wonderful words can't describe it! Having been raised in the Methodist Church in South Alabama the characters were true to form and very believable. This book not only had true to life characters ,that brought on an array of emotions, but also dealt with controversial issues within the Methodist church today. I simply could not put it down! After reading the authors first novel, Making Waves in Zion I anxiously awaited for this new novel, and I was by no means disappointed! I would highly recommend this delightful book to all readers! I guarantee you won't be disappointed! I can't wait for another novel by Cassandra King!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: An Outstanding Read-Nothing Less Than 5 Stars! Review: This book was very engrossing and I enjoyed it very much!
Willodean Lynch is not really cut out to be a 'minister's wife,' by any means. Especially with the type of preacher, Ben is; very rigid and controlling with his wife. Dean has had it and wants to break loose.
When once again, Ben moves to another methodist church, Dean follows of course reluctantly as the wonderful preacher's wife. Right off the button, she instantly dislikes the organist there, and more than a few other ladies. But the one person she dearly comes to love is Augusta, a liberated woman much to Ben's disapproval of it all.
As she and Augusta hang around together, things get worse and worse on the homefront with Ben. A tragedy occurs along the line, and that is the catalyst where Dean's life will radically change.
I can't say too much more without giving this whole story away. But as you read through the book, the story builds until it reaches a very unexpected climax.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: One of the best I have read in a long time Review: This book will leave you laughing and crying.
Being a Southern woman and also raised in the church, I always pondered what the preachers wife was like behind closed doors. This book takes away some of the mystery.
Dean (Willowdean) is a wonderful woman who is just learning to like herself for who she is and not what everyone else wants her to be.
She taught me that I cannot be everything to everyone and what is bad in someones eyes is not necessarily a bad thing.
Yes, she does get into trouble, but don't we all. But through all the trouble, she stayed true to herself and her heart friends.
And in the end trouble has a way of bringing out the good.
An excellent soul searching book. I could not put it down until it was done... and then pass it on to others
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The Best Book for 2003 and 2004 Review: This is, by far, the best book I've ever read. I'm a quick read and usually complete 10 books/yr. (mostly in the Summer @ the Beach )and I can remember every detail of this book which is unusual for me.- my husband says this is due to the amt. of material I read (magazines, cookbook, anything I can get my hands on). I would also suggest this as a gift for someone b/c it isn't very explicit or sexually detailed (think opposite Danielle Steele). Although there are some 'tender' moments, they are done in very tasteful ways.
