Summary: An Amazing Collection of Short Stories
Review: This is one of the most disappointing book of short stories I have read in a long time. The characters are shallow, boring and forgettable. The book has a section called "Three Stories", describing different times in the lives of the same characters. The character development, however, was so shallow, that I didn't realize I was reading about the same people until I noticed that I was seeing the same (unusual) name, Galen, so many times. Ms. Bloom tries to add surprises to each story. Since I couldn't identify or empathize with the characters, the surprises were just an author trying to add oomph to an otherwise dull story.
