Summary: Laugh-Out-Loud Funny
Review: In this book, you will laugh alongside Ashley, a 31 yr old woman who is beginning to feel she's past her prime. Struggling with a demanding career, a not-so-ideal family, a church singles group, a married best friend, and infatuation, Ashley's life is anything but ordinary! An interesting mix of fashion sense, conversations with God, and the self-doubt all women have, this book is not to be missed!

Summary: WHAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR! CHRISTIAN CHICK-LIT AT IT'S BEST
Review: Kristin Billerbeck does a remarkably funny job at recanting Ashley Stockingdale's search for finding God's path through life. She thinks marriage is the end all for which He has sent her upon this earth until perhaps a few twists and turns shows her maybe not. Join Ashley in her hilarious search for her Truth in this wonderfully delightful Christian Chick-Lit tale! I laughed until I cried! AND, what's even more the page turner kept me interested until the final end! (But, I'll keep that part a secret because it deserves to be so!) I loved it and highly recommend Ms. Billerbeck's WHAT A GIRL WANTS!!! Now to wait for SHE'S OUT OF CONTROL Ashley's sequel!!!

Summary: Fresh, Fun, Witty, and Insightful
Review: This book has everything I love in a novel. Humor (that I understand!), emotions that I relate to, and a character that I understand and identify with. In Ashley, Kristin Billerbeck has created someone very real that single (and even non-single) Christian girls can relate to. She has a laughable tendency to sound materialistic, but then when she discusses her Christian beliefs, you know it's all an act. She shows us that it's ok to be imperfect...everyone has their flaws.

While some of the plot twists sound a little far-fetched, I remind myself that that is the purpose of a novel--to escape from your own very real life and into someone else's made-up world. All in all, the story took me from laughter to tears and back to laughter. Can't wait to see how the story continues!!

Summary: Buy What A Girl Wants!
Review: What A Girl Wants is a refreshing twist to the standard fare found in the chic lit genre - heroine Ashley Stockingdale has hope! I've read enough chic lit to know most heroines find themselves down and out, depressed and having slept with one guy too many.

Kristin Billerbeck does a great job of presenting real world problems and desires with her Christian characters. The story is true to life and not preachy. Ashley is funny, caring and yes, some times weak. But she finds hope and strength in God. In a genre that is full of the "f" word and low moral values, it's wonderful to read about a single woman desires to live to a higher standard. And she is far from being a prude.

Well written and entertaining. I'd recommend this book to anyone and everyone - girls of all ages. Especially teenage or collage age women who are faced with so many moral challenges. Ashley will inspire them to a higher, better call.

Buy What A Girl Wants.
