Rating: Summary: Hysterically Funny...A Pleasure To Read From Cover to Cover Review: 32AA has to be one of the quirkiest, funniest, enjoyable books that I have come across in a long, long time. This book is a hysterical read, and had me laughing all the way from beginning to end - I was reading till 2AM, I couldn't put it down! This book centers around the antics of underendowed heroine Emma. Following the ups and down of her love life, the terrors of apartment-hunting in Hoboken, and the joy of having friends, it is touching even as the heroine entertains us with strange mental tangents from the origin of wild salmon (picture a bandana-clad, tatooed salmon named Harry) to a discussion explaining the ins and outs of relationships using atomic chemistry. Unlike many books that drift randomly from point to point, throwing in the occaisonal odd fact to try and humor the reader, this book holds its plot steady, and the diverse motley of characters seem to breath on the page. Ms. Cunnah has done a superb job of keeping the reader thoroughly entertained as she draws you into the lives and worlds of her characters, and brings it to a happy end for all that will make you want to laugh and cry all at once. Don't pass this book up - you can't afford to miss the wit and humor in this highly promising debut author's book! Look on her website, which I believe is simply michellecunnah.com, to read an excerpt, which is where I first got hooked into the book. You wont be satisfied with the teaser it gives you, you'll definitely want to read the book!
Rating: Summary: Entertaining and Enjoyable Review: 32AA, Michelle Cunnah's first novel, was both extremely enjoyable and entertaining. I both laughed and was saddened with each turn in the life of Emma Taylor. Emma's inner circle of friends became my friends as well. Ms. Cunnah's writing style made me feel like I had known Rachel, Tish, David, Sylvester and Katy all my life.
Adam's character could have been developed a little more, but with him being such a villain, the less we know of him, perhaps the better.
The book grabbed me from page one, and never turned loose. The ending did not disappoint, it was as equally satisfying as the previous 300 pages. I am a huge fan of chick-lit, and this is one of the best I have read. And being a Led Zeppelin fan myself didn't hurt either.
Most enjoyable!
Rating: Summary: Being thin doesn't equal a perfect life... Review: Enough with the notion that if a woman is thin then she is automatically happy and beautiful. Truth is most men enjoy a curvacious woman, and this story shows that reality. I loved reading this book. Normally I would be envious of a girl who tried desperately to gain weight (as if being skinny was the most autrocious thing that could happen to a female body) and gain love. I am an avid fan of chick lit novels, this being no exception. Yes, I do come across the few that I don't neccessarily enjoy, but this was not the case with 32AA. I couldn't put it down, and the ending is absolutely perfect (even though you can predict it a mile away). I may be slightly biased being that the setting takes place in Hoboken, NJ (very close to where I live) but that only made it all the more realistic. I must admit, the London/Paris setting was too played out and I liked that this was a book about a good ol' Jersey girl! I admit I was hesitant to read this at first due to the back flap stating right off the bat that the main character had trouble dealing with her thin frame. I thought, oh dear, now I'll feel guilty about being a 34A, believing I was too fat or some crazy idea. But that wasn't the case. She is absolutely adorable and you want to be her best friend. I suggest to all to pick up this book and read it A-SAP, even if you are a 38DD. It's fun for all women who have been down in the dumps about love, family, work and friends. Most enjoyable!!
Rating: Summary: a slow start with a quick ending Review: Having read all the great reviews of this book, I was excited to read it. At the beginning, I really noticed that I was forcing myself to read this book and thought of just putting it down and picking it up at a later date. But, I stuck with it and it got much better. I would have rated it 4 stars, but the grammar and the transitioning of sentences were poor and confusing. Hopefully the editing in her next book is better.
Rating: Summary: 34AAA and beautiful Review: I think its horrible that anyone would write about the "horrors" of being thin. Thin is beautiful and having small breasts doesnt make anyone less of a women. You fat women need to stop being so bitchy and learn to realize that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, large AND small. Not all women who are small are that way because they starve themselves, get over it. Its people like you that have caused an increase in breast implants. There is nothing wrong with being thin and having small breasts, actually, most classy guys prefer a smaller frame.
Rating: Summary: Hilarious Review: It's bad enough to get dumped shortly after your 30th birthday, but to also be left for an older, more well-endowed woman? And for the man who dumped you to also be your boss at work, as well as the man you live with? Disasterous and humiliating, these are the circumstances that Emma Taylor is going through when we meet her in "32AA". Things are really looking down for her. After Adam dumps her, she is unfortunately stuck working for him since he blocks her transfer to another department at work. (She manages to get in her little digs though, which are very amusing). She must also vacate his apartment and find a new place, which is extremely difficult to do in the NY/NJ area. Her well-meaning friends end up setting her up on a couple of disastrous dates, further complicating Emma's life. And handsome, enigmatic Jack seems out of reach. Will things ever get better for her? Very funny at times with witty dialogue between the characters, "32AA" is a great book that will be enjoyed by many chick lit fans. As for characterization, Michelle Cunnah does an excellent job at creating wonderful and likeable characters. Emma herself is no idiotic chick lit heroine that you want to strangle. Despite making some mistakes, she comes across as a strong woman with a mind of her own. Rachel, Emma's brainiac friend, was one of my favorites in this book. Some of the things she says are just hilarious. I also enjoyed the way this book was told in first-person narrative. The reader will definitely get to know Emma and her friends, as well as enjoy the ride through the ups and downs of their lives. I highly recommend "32AA" to any reader. This is a fun, well-written debut novel from author Michelle Cunnah that should not be missed!

Rating: Summary: Chick Lit at its best!!!! Review: The market's become so saturated with chick lit books, and I've been somewhat disenchanted with the genre as of late. Then along comes this truly delightful example of chick lit from Michelle Cunnah which has made me want to wear my Manolos and sip Cosmos once again. Adorable, funny, endearing, 32AA is an impressive debut. I couldn't put it down. Michelle has a great way with words and her main character is absolutely charming. If you're sick of boring books about superficial characters with no soul and want a funny, cute story with a heroine you can relate to and fall in love with, pick up this book. You won't regret it.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful! Review: This book is so great, I didn't want it to end. I usually hate it when a book ties up all the loose ends with an unrealistic everyone lives happily ever after, but not this time. You have to love Emma and her friends and root for them. Totally predictably but in a wonderful way. I can't wait for the authors next book.
Rating: Summary: A fun, cute read Review: This book was fun. I read it in just a few days. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the grammar/editing is pitiful. Otherwise, good job!
