Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: you will not be able to put the book down Review: There are so many layers to the story. It's rich in detail and complex in nature. This is the second Dave Shields novel I have read, and now know for certain that he is a very talented gifted man. Please read this book.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Wonderful book! Review: This book was very enjoyable. It quickly got to the heart of what it was like to be on a cycling team.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Spellbinding Review: This is a read for anyone who has ever rode a bike and dreamed of higher aspirations. A wonderful story of a young man who against his father's wishes, refuses to give up his upmost desire to make bike racing his highest calling. Dave Shields will keep you glued to the story of Ben Barnes from the moment you open the book to the final gut busting end. My only sorrow was that the book was over way before I was ready to call it the end. Dave has a way of describing Ben's efforts as though you could feel his actual pain and gloat on his achievements. It is by far one of the best written accounts of actual bike racing in the Tour de France and what the riders face in that grueling challenge. But Dave gives you such wonderful flashbacks of how Ben begun his quest in his younger years that makes this such an overall fantastic read. I promise all readers-you will not be disappointed if you have any interest in bicycle racing.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The Race Review: What an exciting read. Dave took me for the ride of my life with this book. He had me twisting and turning, hitting the brakes, bunny hopping, sweating, swearing, crying and just being down right happy. I couldn't put the darn thing down. Anybody who rides a bike will love this book. His writing style is easy to follow and makes you feel like you are right there. When I finished the book, I wanted more! You will not be dissapointed by this book. Do yourself a big favor, read it.
