Summary: Blinded is a fast paced gripping story!
Review: Blinded is a fast paced gripping story of an unloved, neglected teenager named Mona. Both Mona's parents are drug addicted, and her grandmother is an alcoholic and Mona is forced to learn lessons about love and life on the streets of Wilmington, Delaware.

Mona decides that the best way to get money and success and happiness is to hook up with a hustler and have him finance her dreams. Mona meets up with a ruthless drug dealer named Cameron and travels with him to Philadelphia and New York. Cameron neglects, and abuses her but provides her with a great deal of money, so she thinks she is getting over. Mona confuses sex and money for love and affection. She is so "blinded" that she does not even realize that she is in a dangerous situation. As an eighteen year old with no guidance or support, her decision making skills are very poor. She had several opportunities to escape her fate but she just was not capable of making the right decision.

As a piece of hip-hop fiction, the book reminds me a lot of The Coldest Winter Ever. However the author does a good job of making a formula piece of fiction her own. The writing is crisp and the plot is interesting and fast paced. The juxtaposition between Mona and her mother was compelling and you could see that Mona would become her mother in time.

The book is disturbing. It is a work of fiction but it is based in reality. There are real life Mona all over and it is wrenching to think about our young women putting themselves through such degradation in an attempt to grab what they think is happiness. The moral of the book for a parent is to raise your children right, hold them close and do not let them succumb to the streets. The moral for the young Mona's out there is to see value in yourself, work hard, overcome the obstacles of your upbringing, and remember nothing is free or easy. Unfortunately, I do not know if the young aspiring Monas out there will see that the path they are taking will lead to destruction. I tend to think that most young women similar to Mona will not see themselves in the book and will think they are smarter and slicker than the next girl, just like Mona did.

Summary: Blinded by the love of money, and lust
Review: Blinded is about a girl name Mona that is blinded by the love of money, and lust. Mona was a hustler, she hustled for everything she wanted and needed. It was in her blood, because her mother was a hustler. Her mother got anything she wanted from the men that she had relations with.

Mona grew up in a broken, and disfunctional home. Her mother had an addiction to drugs so her main priority was to support her addiction, and not her children. Even though her mother wans't there for her she had a grandmother that made sure that her and her brother had everything they needed. So Mona grew up without a father which made it hard for her to deal with the opposite sex. Because Mona didn't have some kind of positive influence from a man she settled for less when it was time to date. Then she met this guy name Camron who seemed to be so in love with her. Camron was all that Mona had besides her grandmother and her brother. Cam, was everything Mona dreamed of as far as being her lover. Cam, showed her the finnner things in life and exposed her to alot of stuff that a person that grew up in the hood would have had no chance to see. suddenly, Cam started to change. He started to be more controling, and mean towards Mona. He wouldn't let her go anywhere. she became his prisoner at his baby's momma's grandmother's house. Little did Mona know that one day, everything he would do, and but her would cause her the price of her life because she's blinded my the love of money, and lust.

I recommend this book to all teen girls who have self- confidence issues, or anyone who doesn't have a relationship with their parents, and because they don't have the relationship it makes them bitter and angry, and also anyone who feels like a boyfriend/ or a girlfriend is in control of them. It is truly the Bomb

Summary: Good Story
Review: I like this story about a teenager Mona Foster, who tries not to walk in her mother's foot steps as a drug addict. But Mona is "Blinded" by what the fast money and hustlers can bring her. Unfortunately she gets caught up with a hustler named Camron, and her world is never the same again. I won't give away the story but this book is worth the price, Iam now reading the squel called "Grimey" which has me hooked! Kashamba Williams keep up the good work.

Summary: What's the Next Hustle?
Review: Mona Foster is driven and determined to get what she wants, when she wants, by any means necessary. For now, she's set on getting close to the rap star named Controversy. While attending one of his concerts, someone else catches her eyes instead. His name is Camron, Cam for short. He tells Mona that he's the man for her, not Controversy. Blinded by his bling-bling and how he portrays himself to be, she gives him a chance just to see what he has to offer. "Money talks and bulls*** walks" in Mona's book; it's all about the benjamins and how much of it she can get.

Cam spoils Mona to no end and promises her a life of grandeur. She is sucked into the lifestyle of fancy cars, endless shopping sprees and an abundant cash flow. She even moves in with him without knowing much about him, other than the fact that he has money...and lots of it. Shortly after living with him, his true colors begin to shine like the bling-bling he wears and slowly but surely she begins to find out more and more about her man. One day she discovers a little too much information and desperately seeks an out. Will she be able to escape?

Reading this novel brought to mind a few money related clichés: "The love of money is the root of all evil"; "more money more problems"; and "all that glitters is not gold." Williams gives you a birds-eye view of what the love of money can do to a person. Blinded is an appropriate title. The novel is short, a quick read and is on point. I especially loved the epilogue. For those who are gold-diggers, groupies, money hungry, or whatever the choice word is these days, I highly recommend this for you...or to a friend who fits the description.

Summary: One of the best books around
Review: This book deserved more than 5 stars...I read this book in 5 hours and I would've been done sooner but I had other things to go in between. But this book showed readers how some young females go after the wrong things in life and will be happy but only for the moment, everything that glitters isn't gold. I haven't read the sequel yet, but it's on the way. Keep up the good work, Ms. Williams.

Summary: YOU MIGHT BECOME DEAF & BLIND AFTER READING THIS!
Review: THIS BOOK WAS REALLY GOOD! SOME ERRORS. BUT SO WHAT I WAS BLINDED. THE CHARCTER MONA WAS ON A PATHWAY OF DESTRUCTION! I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY SHE WOULD PLAY WITH THAT BOI CAM LIKE THAT. THIS WAS A TWO DAY READ. I REALLY FELT THE EPILOGUE. IT WAS SOME TRUTH IN IT! SO MUCH TRUTH THAT I DECIDE TO SPREAD IT TO SOME PEOPLE THAT I THOUGHT WOULD BENEFIT. BIG UPS TO THE AUTHOR.
