Rating: Summary: Sometimes Integrity Wins Over Review: Dwayne S. Joseph's first novel with Urban Books is definitely an eye-opener. The Womanizers is about three friends and the relationships that they have with their wives and one another. The realization of how important the marriage bond is causes each guy to evaluate his personal situation.
Ahmad is the man all women dream of. Handsome and intelligent but most importantly this brother is faithful. As of late his marriage is hitting some major pitfalls; mainly that his wife, Shay, won't sleep with him. Bewildered by her sudden change in affections, towards him he tries to understand what's going on with her. Due to the fact that she hasn't opened up to him, it's starting to look like he is going to develop some of the "womanizing" ways of his partners. He is starting to realize that a man can only be but so strong!
Mike and Mya have been together ever since high school. Unfortunately, he has been cheating on her just as long. Mike feels that as long as he gives his wife everything she wants he can do whatever it is that he wants. When his wife is suddenly "fed up" with his womanizing ways he finds that it might be too late to win her back.
Max and Trina are what you would call an odd couple. She is hard working and successful while he is more laid back and trying to discover his niche in life. Max is doing his thing but because it's only with one person he doesn't feel too bad about it. The problem is that he's laying up with the one person in the world that his wife hates. When the truth is revealed all hell breaks loose. Max doesn't even realize that he is playing with fire and that he will surely get burned.
The Womanizers will definitely capture your attention. With typical male characters that you would love to hate, this story is bound to keep you talking for quite some time.

Rating: Summary: I really liked it Review: I liked Womanizer's because it gave everybody's point of view and allowed the reader to be the judge and jury. The characters were real (somewhat) and drew me into their worlds.
I wished I could've given it 4 or 5 stars and I would've if I saw more devastating reactions from all of the low down dirty things that went on on Womaninzer's. The reactions that his characters had are far more dramatic in real life.
I do however look forward to Dwayne's upcoming novel, due out in the fall, and hope he really gets down right ignorant with his characters.
Rating: Summary: THE WOMANIZERS Review: I'd be lying if I said I didn't really know where this story was headed, but surprisingly, I thoroughly enjoyed the journey. It featured three BEST friends and three very different class of cheating spouse's.
Mike is a philosophical player--because he's got good reason (he thinks), to cheat on his ever faithful spouse, Mya, of 17 years. She's about to change his philosophy forever by teaching him an obvious law: WHAT GOES AROUND, ACTUALLY COMES AROUND, ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, FOR ALL CONCERNED. He could get played--but nothing compared to the games he's been playing for years. While most men are comfortable with the double standards they keep up, Mike (a law enforcement officer), isn't happy unless he enforces his triple standards onto the women he manages to entice into his world.
Then there's Max, a music producer/entrepreneur in the making, with the support of his loving wife, Trina. Now, Max is top dog, not only does he cheat with others but he couldn't be bothered to find an unrelated/unknown partner to cheat with. Max's wife Trina, is about to get the shock of her life when she realizes her husbands `bit on the side' is in fact-HER MOTHER Sharon--a character with absolutely no class what's-so-ever, but plenty of WILD, WILD drama.
Ahmad is dreaming about adultery--while married to Shay. She just gave birth to their daughter, Nicole--six months ago. That's six months of celibacy for Ahmad, on account of Shay's postnatal depression and lack of self-esteem--VITAL INFORMATION that she refuses to share with him. Ahmad is frustrated and unable to deal with his wife's unreasonable state of mind--he wonders if it's a good idea to stay faithful. To make matters worse, one of his students has a crush on him--plus his boss is desperately trying to seduce him. Of course he's not willing to risk his job as a Teacher, by taking any of these options; but things become a little too hot to bear--when the beautiful Mya (his best friends wife), seems willing to soothe him, after he'd confessed his desperate situation to her. His loyalty to his friend and his family is truly put to the test in this VERY tense and colourful drama.
This is another one of Dwayne Joseph's intense--tight dramas, there was never a dull moment, or page--I should say, I simply couldn't drag myself away from it-I had difficulty trying. Easy read, all the way...

Rating: Summary: Their Just Due Review: Mike, Max and Ahmad are best buddies and are, by all accounts, womanizers. In Dwayne S. Joseph's THE WOMANIZERS, their escapades demonstrate why they have received this title.
Mike, a police officer, is married to the beautiful and loyal Mya but he is a player to the tenth degree. Mike's reasoning, there are too many women available to be loyal to one. Mike figures if he gives Mya everything her heart desires then his actions are justified. Max, who is married to Trina, is an up and coming record producer, or so he thinks, becomes involved with someone who is definitely taboo. Finally there is Ahmad who is married to Shay. Since the birth of their daughter six months ago, Ahmad and Shay have not had sex. Ahmad is a stand up type of guy and he cannot figure out why his wife will not have sex with him. Shay has her reasons, which she fails to share with her husband. Shay's dismissal of her husband sends him into the arms of another forbidden lover. Of the three, Ahmad is the one who preaches to the others about the errors of their ways, however Mike and Max are not into lectures and as long as Ahmad keeps his mouth shut no one will get hurt.
Take this ride with these characters as their friendship is tested over and over again by accusations, deceit and betrayal. Are their relationships and friendships broken beyond repair? In the end will each man and woman, for that matter, heed the lessons to be learned or will they continue with their wicked and selfish ways? The chapters are separated by the characters telling their side of the story, which allows us to hear directly from the individual and not from a narrator. Dwayne Joseph writes with candor, humor and straight up ruthlessness. He leaves no stone unturned as he tests the bonds of friendship between Mike, Max and Ahmad and ultimately their wives.

Rating: Summary: Three men and their ladies Review: Mike, Max and Ahmad are friends for life. They've been together for a long time and they share their lives with each other. The Womanizers is a book about these three men and their relationships with their wives and other women.
Mike is the ladies man, a police officer by day who prefers to impose his own sexual sentences on women he meets who have committed the crime of being fine. One problem, his wife Mya sits at home knowing full well what her husband is doing while he's away.
Max is the music mogul who is tasked by his wife Trina to pursue his dreams. She can handle the bills and encourages Max to do what he needs to do to get his business off the ground and running. While he's home all day, he has ample opportunity to pursue other romantic avenues. Unfortunately, he finds himself romantically involved with Sharon, his mother-in-law, and this quickly turns into an opportunity for blackmail.
Ahmad is every woman's dream. He's an attentive, caring husband and adoring father to his newborn daughter. Unfortunately, his wife Shay refuses to provide him with sex and he's described himself as a born again virgin. At first he thought he understood her hesitation, especially since she has recently given birth, but as it goes on and on, he finds himself in the arms of Mya.
Enough drama to keep you on the edge of your seat, you'll soon be caught up in the lives of these three men. A very quick read, though nothing really thought-provoking, I think Dwayne Joseph has done a good job of taking a snapshot into the lives of womanizers -- all of them -- and fleshing out the cause and effect of this kind of maligned behavior.
Rating: Summary: A MUST READ!!! Review: Once I started, I couldn't put it down! Finished this book in 1 day, and I must say that The Womanizers brings to light not only men's issues and the consequences of being a "playa", but other issues in relationships, such as self-esteem, enabling and denial. "Thank You" to Dwayne Joseph, for not being afraid to "tell the real deal!"
Rating: Summary: Very good read... Review: The book was awesome. It was written very well. The confrontation between shay and mya at the end was very dynamic and displayed very well.
Rating: Summary: Life is a trip . . . Review: The Womanizers chronicles the drama filled lives of best friends Mike, Max, and Ahmad.
Smooth operator Mike is married to his high school sweetheart Mya. As a police officer, Mike accepts "other forms of payment" from women in exchange for tickets. All the while, faithful Mya is at home. Mike is convinced that despite all of his sexual endeavors that she is not going anywhere. Little does he know that Mya is seeking comfort from a familiar source. Can Mike handle what he dishes out?
Family man Max believes in keeping it in the family. Maybe that explains why he is sleeping with his mother-in-law Sharon, a woman whom his wife hates. But for every action, there is a reaction. Will Max be able to handle the consequences of his actions?
Mr. Commitment Ahmad has always preached to his boys about how wrong they are for cheating on their women. A married Ahmad has never thought about cheating on his wife Shay. That is until he finds himself in a sexless marriage. After the birth of their daughter 6 months ago, Shay has refused to have sex with her only explanation being that it's about her and not him. But how much longer can Mr. Commitment go on like this before he follows in the footsteps of his friends?
Can the trio's friendship and marriages survive when tested to their limits?
Mr. Joseph does a wonderful job of bringing the drama. Great read.

CHARACTERS
Mike- swears he a smooth operator but really wasn't (caught up) He was my most hated character in this book. And if you read it you'll know why
Mya- Girl you done snapped you shouldn't try to challenge dirt with dirt. I'm glad you made that decision but girl you almost did something you would or maybe not regret in the long run
Ahmad- The decision you made was real and from the heart thats why i respect you so much. Just like mike said you're a better person then he is and most men because it would of be the total opposite. Keep loving shay
Shay- Girl you gotta satisfy your man... sex isn't whats its all about but damn 6 whole months you lucky he just kissed her
Max- Blood is a no no to the fullest and you know that especially when they don't like each other... never thought it would come out but you should of known.. ain't she ghetto by the way that explains it all

Rating: Summary: Drama like no other! Review: Ummph, Ummph, Ummph, this book brought nothing but drama. I was reading this book with sweat rollin off of me. 3 Married couples with so much drama, getting caught up in different situations. Mike was a a police officer with a loving wife and he was hitting everything he could get his hands on. Let's say he did not discriminate on the booty. Max also had a loving wife with a no good for nothing back stabbing mother in law. Who was dropping it like its hot on Max every chance she could get. Ahmad loved his wife but she wouldn't kick out what he need because she didn't feel sexy anymore, so did he go get it some place else? Read this book and your mouth will be setting wide open like mine was!
