Rating: Summary: An Entertaining Story! Review: I had a chance to read the book over my Christmas break. I read it in two days and would certainly read more from this author in the future.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Reading Review: I love the book it took me 2 days to finish up and then I wanted some more to the book. I have told all my friends about this book.
Rating: Summary: Jackie Collins could not have done this Review: Move over E. Lynn and Eric Jerome. There's a new sheriff in town and his name is R. M. Johnson. Wow! A story of false pretenses and deception flipped the switch. This is what happens when you're being untruthful. Lies and deceit can and will turn around and bite you in the butt. I'm looking foward to reading much more from this author who have surpassed E.Lynn and Eric Jerome in my opinion. By the way, also read the novel LUST OF THE FLESH. This sister is "hot off the press," with this novel of love, lust, deceit, murder, mystery, suspense and sex, sex, sex all rolled into one. You'll learn something from this read. I guarantee. A great, compelling, riveting, enlightening pageturner. Happy reading!
Rating: Summary: Be Careful What You Wish For............... Review: Nate Kenny has everything a man could want...he's a black man worth millions, luxurious home, a Bentley, all the fine clothes money can buy, and a beautiful wife to share it all with. The only thing that he cannot have is kids. Nate's wife Monica hides a Big secret from him and when he finally discovers the secret that shatters his dreams, he cannot forgive her. He starts to be repulsed by her and cannot be in her presence. He threatened a divorce and she told him she'd sue him for everthign he was worth. BUTT......he had her to sign a prenup saying that if she commited adultery, then she wasn't entitled to anything. While trying to devise a plan, Nate gets in a car accident. THe man Lewis is young, handsome, homeless, and penniless, but Nate thought of his a job where he would get paid 5,000 a week, a new escalade, and an upscale townhome. He was to seduce Monica and have sex with her. Nate didn't know how much he loved the woman until his plan went perfectly. Then he wanted to chage his mind...... I won't give away the details btu there was SUSPENSE, ACTION. Go and pick up this book. You will NOT be disappointed. I read it in three hours!!!
Rating: Summary: Impressive Review: Read the editorial review for the books description. I am seriously impressed with RM's style of writing. This is my second novel, and so far and enjoyed them both. There is nothing typical about his writing. Looking for a change of pace from the norm then pick this book up. I finished it in under 4 hours {it was that good}....
Rating: Summary: ??? Review: This book wasn't all its cracked up to be.I mean Nate is a succesful businessman who wants a family but later finds out that his wife can't have kids. She lies to him about being pregnant because she knew how bad he wanted kids.He comes up with a trifling scheme.Nate is selfish and even though his wife lied he had a hard time forgiving her.Marriage is suppose to be for better or worse but Nate's character...at first I felt sorry for him but the more I read about him the more I felt sorry for Monica, his wife.Overall it was an ok read.
Rating: Summary: a page turner Review: This was a sure page turner. It just keep getting better, and better. It just goes to say, be careful for what you wish for. The ending was the bomb. I can.t wait to read more from RM Johnson.
Rating: Summary: Laaaaawd Have Mercy Review: Topazzz6 was right one the money with this one, this book is hellafied good.
At first I was too optamistic because of the title. I love RM Johnson, but the title just didn't catch me, but Topazz6 convinced me that it was the bomb.
Your wife can't have children so you want to divorce her but you don't want her to get half of what you are worth so you cook up and plan and BAM the sh-- hits the fan!!!!!! All I can say is be careful what you wish for!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: GOOD READ!! Review: When I first saw this book, the title did not catch my eye and when I read the jacket I was not interested, thought it was predictable. A friend recommended it to me and was glad. It was a really good read and I enjoyed it. I will be giving his other books a chance.
Rating: Summary: The Things Men Do Review: When is the last time you read an unpredictable novel? If it's been awhile then you need to run out and grab RM Johnson's Million Dollar Divorce. Sexy and steamy, Million Dollar Divorce has the makings of a Sunday night movie special. Full of riveting twists and turns you may find yourself rooting for the bad guy with this one.
Nate Kenny has successfully wooed Monica. Without much convincing she has agreed to become his bride. Although he loves her, his desire to get married is strongly fueled for his obsession to have a child. Unfortunately Monica is not on the baby fast track and feels that they should wait for three years before starting a family. Due to a genetic problem they find that Monica is unable to carry a child to full term. Feeling deceived Nate is desperate to get out of his marriage. The one thing standing in the way of severing ties with his wife is the 60-million dollar pre-nuptial agreement. Much to Nate's chagrin the only way around the pre-nup is if his wife cheats on him, but Monica doesn't have an adulterous bone is her body. Or does she?
If it weren't for bad luck Lewis Waters wouldn't have any. When he accidentally smashes his car into Nate's Bentley his life seemingly takes a turn for the better. Since Lewis doesn't have any automobile insurance he goes along with Nate's half-cocked scheme to seduce and make love to his wife. After Nate provides the tools for the Lewis' seduction of Monica (crib, ride, phat pockets) everything is set in motion for the big break up. The one thing that none of them counted on is the fact that the heart won't always do what the mind tells it to.
RM Johnson has the remarkable ability to create characters that become friends of yours before the end of the novel. As with all his novels he leaves the reader on the edge of their seat until the next one. The Million Dollar Divorce is arguably one of the best plots of the year.
