Summary: Thought Provoking and Entertaining!
Review: Cup of Love by Franklin White is both thought provoking and entertaining. It's unbelievable how he connects six characters and shows how close situations can be. The pages keep turning- and in every situation there is a character I could relate to. My favorite poem in the book is the one where Mrs. Stubbs shares her love for her husband after so many years. They are a beautiful couple. What a great book, Franklin has now earned his way onto my short list of authors that I will just pick up his book because of his name! Keep them coming!

Summary: I could not read it fast enough.
Review: After reading Mr. White's first book, I was looking forward to his next one. I was not disappointed. It was nice to read about a man who knew he had a problem with infidelity but loved his woman. The battle he had with himself and how he fought it was refreshing. I loved the elderly couple and the knowledge, love and wisdom they brought to the novel. I must admit that I cheated and went to the end of the book because I could not take the suspense of knowing what would happen. Then I went back and finished reading the entire book. I enjoy reading about relationships from a man's point of view and Franklin White did not disappoint me. The belief in God and all his glory played a major role in decisions the characters made. I would recommend this book to everyone.

Summary: Insightful Book that is a Must Read
Review: I applaud Franklin White for creating another masterpiece that so artfully and articulately looks at several facets of African-American life and love so truthfully. He portrays our words and voices as they really are. The poetry in the book and the spiritual focus brings us back to our roots to a time when Blacks believed in God and practiced that belief. He showed STRONG Black men committed to the future in Stubbs and eventually Ethan. Ethan's metamorphosis and Monica's pain are real and Mr. White captured those emotions artfully. I applaud him for exploriing so many different relationships, including the mother/daughter with Artise and Cathy, the surrogate mother/daughter relationship with Artise and Melba and that best friend/sistergirl friendship with Artise and Tassha. Thank you for having the courage to speak what so many of us are living.

God Bless You.

Summary: TRUE TO LIFE
Review: Franklin White wrote about what most of us readers go through on a daily basis. He was just blessed with the talent to make his characters come to life as you read along the lines. I also loved that Vance who has put Artise through so much pain was able to find God in the end to help to better himself and his life for Artise and their child. Artise is one of the strongest women I've read about, she loves this man that she has put a lot of time into and he keeps hurting her but she believes in him and God and that is what keeps her strong. She knows that he is "THE ONE" and she holds on to him no matter what. I know that many like her mother thought she wasn't too bright but God helped to keep her strong in her beliefs and in her man.

Summary: Thanks Franklin White!
Review: Franklin White has given us something else to look forward too. This book was filled with, characters you can relate to, plots that you feel apart of and it keeps your interest all the way through the entire novel. Cup of Love to me is like the author tried to celebrate Black Love and the accomplishments of writers before his time which I think was an excellent idea. Franklins writing style is like no others and I enjoy that since everything seems to be the same these days. Excellent novel.

Summary: Can't wait to see what's next!
Review: WHAT A WONDERFUL READ! Franklin White in his novel took me back to so many conversations I've had with my girlfriends and situations we've all been through at one time or another. Mother/daughter, best friends and even trying to understand anothers sexual orientation without being disrespectful. The male characters commitment to GOD was also very refreshing and let me see how men fight within themselves to do the right thing by their mate. Cup of Love has it all- but the most surprising them to me is, I didn't know about Franklin's ability in writing passionate, relatable, thought provoking poetry. I see great things ahead for this author and highly recommend this book.

Summary: Very Good
Review: It was refreshing to see a male portrayed in a positive light. Even though Vance and Ethan had flaws in the begining it was nice to see they turned themselves around and attempted to be strong men instead of staying "dogs". What happened to Ethan and his date made me think about how I feel about WWK's (Woman With Kids)as well. Good job. I will continue to buy this authors books.
