Rating: Summary: Loved it! Review: Franklin is now one of my favorite authors. He has it all in this book. Relationship issues and very thoughtful issues that keeps the book moving along. I think Mr. Stubblefield was an excellent character along with his wife. I also enjoyed Vance,Ethan and what they had to go through in order to really become men.
Rating: Summary: Huh? Review: I couldn't get into this book simply because there wasn't much to get into. It lacked depth and I never understood what the "real" plot was suppose to be. There were just pages after pages of boring events. No rise, no climax, no fall. After reading his "Fed Up With the Fanny," though it could have been much better as well, I was looking forward to his next novel but I see he hasn't grown much.
Rating: Summary: Truly a page turner Review: I really enjoyed this novel to the fullest extint. I loved the connection between Vance and Stubbs. Stubbs makes Vance realize so much about life and love and he showed a great example in him alone, maybe because he reminds me of someone special in my life. At the end of this book I was just in a good relaxed mood, and went the next day to buy Fed up with the Fanny. Franklin White keep up the good work.
Rating: Summary: Good One My Friend Review: We used to talk about what we wanted to do in our future and you've done it. I Thank God for all he's done for and in you. Your talent is unpredictable and truly appreciated for the variety and flavor you bring to my readings. I look forward to the next book knowing that I'm getting something new all around like a kid at Christmas. Stay strong and motivated my friend. I enjoyed the home piece (Columbus) you added to Cup of Love and every chance you get "Keep on Keeping it Coming"
Rating: Summary: Ummm Review: I loved the title of this book and why it was titled "Cup of Love" I hope I have my cup filled I do believe so.Cup of Love takes some time to get through, but once the story starts Franklin doesn't stop. Don't read this b/c you enjoyed Fed Up With The Fanny, the stories are very different, read it b/c you like Franklins writing skills. My favorite character in the book was Mz Melba she was truly an angel, she walked into Vance and Artise life not when they wanted her to but when they needed her. This book has dirty politicians, the bi-... rich, them that's not and wanna get, and those fighting with demons in their closet. Each one of those folks are looking for their very own Filled to the Brin "Cup of Love"
Rating: Summary: Cup of Love Review: I thought this was an excellent book. I was a true page turner. There was were so many surprises page after page. I ran through a gammut of emotions. It was an excellent choice for a first book for our local book club.
Rating: Summary: Pretty Good Review: Cup of Love let's us know some time we have to forgive, even if we don't want to. Artise had already forgave Vance twice for cheating on her, and forgave him once more. At one point in the book I was scared that Vance was gonna cheat with Casey, but I was glad to read that he didn't. Cup of Love was a good read about a couple going through the problems of cheating, but still making it work.
Rating: Summary: Great Book! Review: Read it and you will not regret the ride. Keep them coming Franklin!
Rating: Summary: You just have to read this one. Review: This book was both fast paced and literary at the same time for me. The author brought out some very thought provoking situations in the book. More so than some of the other you go girl novels that are on the market. I noticed a change in this writing style from his first book Fed Up with the Fanny which suprised me because as a reader I didn't know authors could switch their voice, the way Franklin White did in this book. I thought the main character Vance really gives single women who are involoved with a man who is on the verge of being committed hope! Yes he started off really really bad, but he listened to his inner voice (God) and made a change for the better. This is a must read.
Rating: Summary: Touching! Review: This book touched me in so many ways. It was romantic, spiritual and exciting. This is the first book that I've cried while reading not once but three times. The loss of the girls children really did it for me. I never expected it and thought it was a great twist. In Cup of Love Franklin seems to write beyond his years. Very good book.
