Summary: Got to represent Major!
Review: Now for any of you who have come across any of my reviews. It is quite obvious that I only review books that strike me. I am an avid fan of major, and though this novel might not be on the top of my best list books, I am still compelled to make a review, for I strongly am in love with Marcus's story telling technique. He has a very distinct way of creating true to life characters that stay with you long after the book is finished, and for that a man most worth deserves to be read. You will confronted by characters who share great friendships, but each longing for that special kind of love. With just a hint of drama to help turn those pages, I am certain that "A Man Most Worthy" will prove to be a satisfying read!

Summary: A major well written work
Review: Only thirty-six, John Sebastian has everything going especially with his North Carolina based chemical safety systems business. John has made millions with his firm and expands into New Jersey where he also relocates. However, in spite of his success, which includes those with the opposite sex, John feels something is missing in his life. John likes his current girlfriend Scent, but he knows that neither shares deep abiding feelings for one another.

John seeks some solace by donating computers to poverty stricken Lyons Avenue Elementary School in Newark. It is there that his former lover the married Josephine Prescott works as the vice principal. When John and Josephine meet for the first time in years, both realize what is missing in their lives as she shares his feeling of discontent. Josephine's husband Darren cares only of image as the superintendent of an affluent suburban school district. When it comes to Josephine, Darren demands she lose twenty pounds while John wants to share spoonfuls of love with her forever. Besides their respective insignificant other, John and Josephine know that love might not be enough to overcome the tragedy that ended their relationship the first time around.

A MAN MOST WORTHY is a fabulous relationship drama that focuses on never settling for less than your personal best. The story line moves forward rather quickly as the characters come across as genuine especially when water cooler politics intercede and at time supersede common sense, smart business and personal interactions. With this novel and other tales like FOUR GUYS AND TROUBLE, this author GOT TO BE REAL as a major author of modern day relationship tales.

Summary: Pages Readers Group Reviews "A Man Most Worthy"
Review: Pages Readers group enjoyed this heartwarming story about friendship and love. A Man Most Worthy by Marcus Major is a funny, smart novel that details the lives and evolving relationships of old friends and lovers. While we would have liked the author to share more about the transformation that occurred within the main character John Sebastian, we still appreciated the wit with which Majors describes the conversations and emotions between his characters. Majors manages to "tell it like it is" with a style that keeps the reader entertained from beginning to end.

Summary: Coming Back to Love
Review: Self-made millionaire John Sebastian had it all: money, a mansion, and all the luxuries money had to offer. John discovered the one thing missing was a `good' woman. Running a chemical safety company leaves little time for romance, especially when business is expanding. John decides to return to his home town of Newark, NJ under the guise of expanding his business, back to the love of his life Josephine Flowers.

Josephine, a vice principle of an elementary school, is married to a man that is less than worthy. She longs to feel the passion of love again, the passion that she and John once shared. After an unexpected turn of events, Josephine finds herself without a husband and working along side John. John works hard to make sure Josephine sees he is a Man Most Worthy again.

Marcus Major tells an interesting tale of sex, ambition, love and friendship all while rediscovering what matters most. A Man Most Worthy was a page turner from the first page. It was very hard to put down this book, but I had to sleep sometime.

Summary: Almost worthy
Review: This book is very vivid, and the words he uses to capture you are beautiful as well, but the book itself did nothing for me. It took too long to get to all of the secrets and through all of the denials, and the end was too far away.

Basically this is a book based on before, after, and once again. 2 childhood friends hook back up when John Sebastian moves back to New Jersey in a quest to build another business, as well as win back his one and only love. Jules Anthony, his close friend and and their mentor Mr.Duke knew that although it had been 7 long years since John had loved or been loved completely they simply let him stumble while he played "house" with some chicky named Scent (short for Milicent) whose really only in it for the money (which she does get!) Okay Gloria, a propserous business savvy sister with that tell it like it is and has more dents in her headboard than the norm loves her girl Josephine, but doesn't understand how her girl let's her boozhee husband who doesn't make her release hold such a power over her! Okay Josephine in retrospect hates her boss, loves her
job, loves her marriage, hates her husband.

The most special thing about this book I must sayare the words that Marcus utilized.

This is the first book that I've read by Marcus and I wasn't
impressed, but I am willing to try at least once more.

Summary: Wonderful story...
Review: This is a wonderful story about love, friendship and faith.  John Sebastian has built a multimillion dollar security empire, lives lavishly and doesn't hesitate to spend money on his woman.  However, the woman he gave his heart to seven years previously walked out on him.  Why?  Read the book!

Marcus Major has undoubtedly hit home again with this novel, which highlights faith, trust, and friendship.  (Not to mention some earth-moving, tastefully written, love-making fests!).  This novel is sure to capture your heart. -JN

Summary: Wanna Read A Good Book?
Review: This one is for you! Kudos to Marcus Major for this one. I'm usually not a fan of his work, and got this book from a friend. I'm glad I did.

John promised that he would never have to struggle again after growing up in the slums of Newark, New Jersey. He's successful and has everything material with a hottie named Scent.

The problem is John is still in love with Josephine Prescott, and wishes he never let her go. Josephine is unhappily married to a man named Darrien. John always wondered where Josephine was and how her life turned out, and persus her by all means necessary. Luckily for Josephine, John is used to getting what he wants, and doesn't stop until Josephine is his.

I recommend this book as a must read! The love scenes, NOT sex scenes, but love scenes are fantastic, it's unpredictable, and has so many twists, turns, and surprises.
