Summary: "Thrilling Whodunit" ...
Review: "The Good Sister," by Diana Diamond, keeps her readers guessing until the very end in this thrilling whodunit. An exciting tale of two sisters...one, a murderous sociopath...the other, convinced that the other is trying to kill her. The characters are believable and well-developed, the dialogue moves along nicely, and the plot will have the reader screaming for more. A recommended novel.

Summary: Keeps you entertained from page 1
Review: From the very first page of the book, when you are introduced to a very interesting pyschopath, this book keeps your attention.

Just in the first few pages you learn that one sister blinded her other sister's baby doll so that her own doll would be the prettiest; broke her sister's ankle in junior high so that one would be on the field hockey team and the other would sit out the season; and sent out horrible emails about her sister and father to the business world so that her father would get mad at her sister. The one sister also admits that she tried to help kill her other sister. And that's just by page 11!

How can you not go on reading? The writing is a breeze - this is an easy book to read - better than a stale Steele!

Read it just for entertainment purposes - not for any deep meaning. This is a great book to read when you are busy doing other things (like getting ready for the holidays) because it gives you a break from the real world for a while!

Review: I am certainly glad I did not read these reviews before picking up this book at the library. I would have missed a really good read for sure. Just the right blend of mystery and romance for me. I look forward to reading another by this author.

Summary: The Good Sister
Review: I bought this book because I have been reading all the books recommended by Kelly Ripa. I was very disappointed by the book. I didn't think it was an easy read. The book is broken up into parts. The first part was so technical and in so much detail that it did not keep my interest . Once the book reaches the third part (about 177 pages into the book) the story is really moving. Personally, I prefer a book that moves from the first page to the last page. I did not find it very romantic and I was actually able to figured out who done it about half way through. I have never been able to do that before.

Summary: The Good Sister
Review: I must say that I was a little disappointed with this book. 'THE GOOD SISTER' has an excellent premise: two sisters Jennifer and Catherine who have, since childhood, been bitter rivals. But they are forced to work together to run a multi-billion dollar satellite company that their deceased father founded.

Jennifer and Catherine play two very different roles in the company, which, with the help of hired mentor as well as mediator Peter Barnes, helps to cool down this bitter rivalry. Jennifer is the brains behind the launching and running of the satellites and Catherine is the sophisticated head of PR and in charge of bringing new clients into the company. But once superstar Padraig O'Connell shows an interest in one of the sisters and seemingly tries to worm his way into the company the rivalry begins to heat up again and soon turns deadly after an attempt is made on both sisters' lives. It is now up to Peter to solve the mystery of which sister would like to see the other one dead.

The problem that I had with 'THE GOOD SISTER' was that it was a bit unbelievable with so many attempts on basically everyone in the books lives and all of them coming out fairly unscathed and the back and forth between the two sisters trying to figure out exactly who is trying to kill them. Also the book was a little predictable, for me, there was no big shocker at the end. However 'THE GOOD SISTER' was a very easy read and it did keep me entertained for a couple of days. 3 stars.

Summary: I Loved This Book!!
Review: I read the reviews on this book, most of the reviewers did not like this book, I was so happy to see that a few liked it. It does keep you guessing, right when you think you have figured it out then it throws you off again, you don't know if Jennifer, or Catherine is good or bad. To be honest I wasn't going to read this book, didn't think it would be any good, I am so happy that I gave this book a chance. Hope there are more readers that have enjoyed this book as much as I did.
Happy Reading Lisa : ) Smile

Summary: Not a Great Thriller
Review: I read this book because Kelly Ripa reccommended it on her show. I have to say that this book was a little bit better than her other book club selections, but I don't think that I will read another book from her book club again. This book is based on two sisters who greatly despise each other. The two sisters help to run a satellite empire, ( that they inherited from their father) with Peter Burns, a friend of the family's. Jennifer is the sister who likes to work the more techinical part of the company, and is suppose to be the more smarter one. I have a problem with this because Jennifer is suppose to be the brains, but she is also descriped as plain and not very attractive. While Catherine her sister is suppose to be the beauty who can get any man she wants, but isn't as smart. Why does the brainy sister have to be the plain one, there are smart woman who are beautiful. Jennifer falls for a actor named Padraig O Connell. Then that's where the real problems begin. The begining of this book was so dull and dry that I had trouble reading it. I like books that are hard to put down and keep me interested from the beginning to the end, this book didn't do that for me. Also it was quite easy to figure out which sister was the bad one and which one was the good one. It was also quite easy to figure out which sister was going to make a contract on the other sister's life. This book also dragged and then there were the attempts on each sister's life that got to be absurd. The book doesn't get interesting until the last two chapters. I found the sisters to be immuture and they both got on my nerves. I didn't like a single character in this book, there was no one to root for in my opinion. I wouldn't reccommend wasting your money on this book. This book is basically a bad soap opera storyline that just drags and drags.

Summary: Not very good
Review: I really enjoy other Diana Diamond books I have read, so I was pretty bummed after I started this.
For the first half of the book I kept going back and forth as to who the 'bad' sister was, but by the time it was revealed I didn't care anymore.
I actually did not like either sister. I found them both weak, and boring.
