Rating: Summary: New Guy in Town Review: Move over Clancy and Ludlum! Tom Muldoon is the new guy on the the elite block of top political/military/thriller writers. His new book, An Execution of Honor is fast paced, exciting and hard to put down. I have been looking for other books by him, but can't seem to find any. Has he written under another name? I am waiting for the movie. Frank Zahour
Rating: Summary: set time aside to finish it once you start Review: An easy read by an author who doesn't bog the book down with technical minutae. Plot moves along briskly and nails you to the chair after the fifth chapter. If you like Patrich Robinson you'll like this author.
Rating: Summary: An Execution of Honor Review: This is a riveting book that I found hard to put down. In fact I enjoyed the author's style so much I was disappointed to learn that there are no more books out there by Thomas L.Muldoon. It's a tightly-written thriller that leaves you guessing right to the end and I recommend it highly.
Rating: Summary: couldnt put this one down Review: I enjoyed this book. This book at first seemed futuristic but plausable at the same time. This is the kind of book that would appeal to those who are intrigued in reading War, Retribuiotn, Futuristic fighting or about the brotherhood that those who fight for our country experience. This would certainly appeal to those in the armed forces. If you enjoy a good action book and have a few hours, You just might find yourself reading this in one sitting. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.
Rating: Summary: Great Book! Review: I really enjoyed this book. After the first couple of chapters I ended up staying awake late to finish it. It reads like a good spy/military movie with lots of action and interesting characters. If you like military fiction, then you'll like this book!
Rating: Summary: Semper Fidelis explained in Action! Review: Finally an action-packed lightning-paced thriller featuring Marine Force Recon! Thomas L. Muldoon brings you Marine Force Recon like Stephen Coonts brought you Naval Aviation; like Tom Clancy brought you Submarines, US Army Gound Forces in Europe, and CIA Cyber-Ops; like Patrick Robinson brought you Navy Seals. There hasn't been a Marine action book this good since W.E.B. Griffin's Saga of the Corps. WARNING: if you work Monday through Friday 8-5, do not start this book on a weeknight! A terrific read that begs for a sequel!
Rating: Summary: Don't miss this one Review: A fast-paced thriller with some innovative twists. Action-packed adventure on three continents well worth reading.
Rating: Summary: Wooden dialog; cardboard characters; imaginary hardware Review: I can't believe I read the whole thing.Did the author contribute the "good" reviews of this book? It's hard to imagine anyone enjoying this clunker ... The military hardware described in this book is beyond silly ... most of it violates laws of physics or biological reality ... a gas that kills everyone in a large room in less than a second? Get real! That politicians are capable of the deceit and vileness portrayed in the book is perhaps the only viable part of the book; the characters are one-dimensional, inadequately developed, and obviously designed for their roles. That an "elite" specwar team would accept Theban Stone's cowboy antics violates every precept of their selection process ... but it's necessary as a plot device. Save time ... buy something else ... anything else.
Rating: Summary: Action but no thrill Review: A fill in the blanks thriller. Good guys? with lots of money seek revenge and then try to avoid retribution. An obvious first of more to come, but it hasn't hooked me.
Rating: Summary: A great read Review: This book is a great read. So many reviews have mentioned the Semper Fi attitude of the heroes who refused to allow the murderer of fellow Marines to go unpunished despite the U.S. government's commandment to do so, and the resulting penalties which the former Marines were prepared to face to ensure that their comrades' murders paid the price for their deeds. But what these reviews have not bothered to mention are the exciting action which takes place in a chase across London, England, a gun battle in streets of Paris, and an all-out battle in heidelberg, Germany. Then there's the infiltration of the protected grounds of the murderer, a displace dictator; the assault to free captors in Califonia. So much action and such a great read for anyone who likes thrillers.
