Summary: Too Much Is Broken
Review: Broken Beyond Repair begins where Written In Red Ink leaves off. With Written In Red Ink we are introduced to the Bennett family and all whom encompass them. With Broken Beyond Repair we witness an accidental encounter gone awry, lack of communication and plenty of drama.

Lisa Bennett and Shawn Favor are married and both have promising careers, but Lisa has not been able to carry a child to term creating anxiety coupled with desire. Throw in a sister's deceit, another sister's dream, an Uncle's marital drama, a cousin's parentage, another cousin's deafness and a host of other storylines and you have relationships, which are dysfunctional at best.

The main premise points to an excellent storyline, however this novel has too many stories, which are unable to be fully developed among the pages allowed. Characters are reintroduced from Written In Red Ink but their introduction does not flow and leaves the reader confused. You are forced to go back to prior pages to see if you missed something only to discover that you did not. It is not until you are three-quarters of the way completed that you realize who and what these characters are and how they fit into the current storyline. It appears that this is a set up for more stories to come, however the numerous stories took away from the focus of Lisa and Sean and appeared to be out of place because of the lack of development. Summary: Is there another sequel?
Review: I am sad to say, that as much as I waited for her this sequel to come out. I am very disappointed in it, it left me completely unsatisfied. Why did she choose to end the book, the way she did? I know that I am not the only person who wanted so badly to see some kind of reconciliation between Sean and Lisa? What about Lisa and Nicoles relationship? or the relationship between Nicole and her baby Shawna? Whats going to happen with Michelle? Ms. Shapodee left a lot of gaps and unanswered questions in this novel, does anyone agree? I love her as a writer, but am highly disappointed with Broken Beyond Repair, maybe she should have just left it broken. Also, how come she had so many other stories going on, with her new characters. I could have cared less about them. My main focus was on Lisa, Sean, and Nicole, and I thought that was what the focus of the story was suppose to be.

Summary: Shapodee's Done It Again!
Review: I had read several different reviews so I was apprehensive about reading this book. Once I started it I could not put it down until I reached the end.

I have to agree with one of the reviewers when they said that she had to many story lines going. In my opinion it was like she just threw that part of the story in for no reason. I would have loved to see the book deal with the lives of Sean and Lisa. It had been so long since I had read WIRI I forgot some of the characters. This book is nothing compared to Ms. Shapodee's other work. I am hoping that in her next book she will pick up where this book left off and fill some of the answered questions that are out there.

Overall I gave this book 4 stars because I felt that the book was good and it had a great story line. This book was a quick read.

Summary: Shapodee's Done It Again!
Review: I think that the book Broken Beyond Repair is excellent. It kept me guessing and wondering about Lisa and Seans's relationship. When I read that they were married, I thought what in the world has happened! Ms. Shapodee has done it again. This time she weaves her story in Georgia and then transported me to to romantic Jamaica. The reader can jut about feel the warm fragrant breezes, as she deftly used imagery to make this reader feel as if I could see the sun on the beautiful blue water. This is a must read. If you loved Written In Red Ink, which I did, you'll love Broken Beyond Repair.

Summary: School of E. Lynn Harris for Sequel Training - NOT!
Review: If you are looking for a great value, you get three or more storylines in one book. Anxiously waited on the sequel & was highly disappointed.

Summary: One You Won't Put Down
Review: The saga of the Bennett family continues in this sequel to Written in Red Ink. If you thought things were bad in WIRI, can you imagine what happens when those deliquent girls, Lisa and Nicole grow up?

The book opens in an Atlanta Club. Nicole, is tanked and since no one wants to drive her across town to her home, her brother-in-law, Sean, sends her to his house. After all, his wife Lisa was due to be home in a few hours--or so he thought. When he arrived home after staying to enjoy the concert, he smelled Lisa and felt the silk of her favorite black nightgown--but the million dollar question is did he make love to his wife in their dark bedroom that night? Or did he have sex with her sister?

A woman who longs to be a mother who is haunted by the pain of a previous abortion and plagued by a series of miscarriages.
A sister who hides her unwanted child's paternity.
A man who is caught in the middle.

One family, three members...all Broken Beyond Repair.
