Summary: Engrossing read of what might be tomorrow's headlines
Review: "China Attacks" takes the reader onto the front lines of what may be the world's next major war: China's invasion of Taiwan. Exploring the themes of China's singleminded purpose in "recovering" its "renegade province" while America's global distractions keep it busy elsewhere, "China Attacks" is an engrossing read. If China invades Taiwan in the near future, as the authors' obviously contend may happen, the world may be shocked but the readers of this novel won't be. The book shows how the Chinese can do the job -- and makes it an edge of the seat adventure. It also looks at many of the intagible or unexplored issues of modern conflict: morale, deception, unconventional tactics, and domestic politics.

Summary: China Attacks
Review: A brilliant work. This book has the pacing, accuracy and intrigue of a Tom Clancy novel. Chuck Devore knows the real-world Communist China situation and he presents a plausible political/military scenerio that could one day require U.S. intervention to help repel a Mainland Chinese invasion of Taiwan.

Summary: strategic prospect
Review: Am not to going to argue with anyone who lives in America
but please think it.
you have to know the Taiwan is vital to China's future,
lose it lose the future, look at the map ,away the china
's coasting, you could see Korea, japan, taiwan have blank
off the seaway, and they are ally of U.S(taiwan is vaguely) , and U.S's intention
is quite clear --disassemble China into
weak parts. U.S is stay the course.
as the ussr, now the Russia, fact U.S even not condone
the capitalistic Russia, U.S's aim is complete
disable Russia's military potential(by NATO) .
same to China

China's future is the seaway, with the historical relation
with Taiwan island ,China don't want lose it's final chance
to get the lost property.american have to aware the america
was rob off from Injun .so don't growl when china claim it's
lost property.

i just got know that the U.S's bombers could dircet attack the
china's air base in LANZHOU without aerial tanker via

Afghanistan,so China have to worry about that.

Summary: Excellent
Review: At first I wasn't very impressed with the cover of the book BUT the cliche of "You can'tjudge a book by its cover" was created for this situation.

I found the first 20 or so pages of character development to be a little slow but they did provided valuable information about the characters as well as historical information about the relations of China and Taiawn that are part of what made this book great. Once the action began I couldn't put it down and practically finished it in one sitting.

Summary: A rousing good read
Review: China Attacks is a rousing good read that ranks up there as one of the best techno-thrillers ever written. Its scenario is so plausible it could serve as a war plan for China to attack Taiwan, and in all probability succeed given how thinly our forces are deployed worldwide. What makes the plot so credible is the weaving of North Korea, Iran, and the Panama Canal into the plot.

The authors, Devore and Mosher, do a wonderful job of seamlessly developing both the scenario and characters. As the story unfolds, the characters and plot mature and increasingly become more believable. No small task given the two cultures and world scope portrayed.

As a former Army officer and combat veteran, I can say with authority the battle scenes are accurate in their portrayal of heart stopping fear, fast action, and the accompanying fog of war (one never really knows what's going on). The war is so well described that my pulse would actually begin to race.

Summary: Entertaining and Provacative
Review: China Attacks is an entertaining, action-packed and provocative novel of the techno-thriller genre that bucks the current groupthink relating to China/Taiwan/United States relations.

Is Chinese aggression against Taiwan and the US unthinkable? You may wonder why they haven't attacked yet when you finally put this book down. Chuck DeVore, a respected Army Intelligence Officer, and Steven Mosher, a well known author of Chinese culture, weave high-tech military action and insightful human drama into an engrossing story that challenges your notions on Chinese strategic goals, culture, and even the use of modern military technology.

This book is a fast page-turner and just plain fun. I would recommend it to anyone interested in Tom Clancy-type books, as well as people interested in China and/or Taiwan. Good reading!

Summary: China Attacks
Review: Chuck DeVore and Steven Mosher have created a contemporary geopolitical thriller in the best traditions of Tom Clancy, Harold Coyle and Dale Brown. The scenario for this fast paced, highly credible and well-researched novel is built on the looting of our nuclear weapons and missile guidance secrets by the Communist Government of China. It unveils the inroads made by the Chinese in influencing the U.S. political process through their well-funded lobbying efforts throughout the last decade. The presidential administration from 1992 through 2000 has placed our country at great risk and China Attacks tells us how bad it could get for a politically correct United States in the new millennium. Authenticity and excitement tie this great book together. We will hear more from these fine new authors. As a retired senior military officer, I find this book to be very thought provoking and sobering.

Summary: China Attacks
Review: DeVore and Mosher have done their homework and have written an exciting fast paced novel crammed with current and breaking events. They have selected key characters that allow the reader to follow the events with views from all sides.

Summary: Excellent, Page Turner, Could Not put the Book Down
Review: Excellent book, Devore captured not only the threat that China could pose to Tawain and possibly the rest of the world but also how China has gained much of their technical abilities. This is a well researched and well thought out novel. One of the best military-esq novels that does not fall into the traps that most military novels fall into - to many sub plots that have no relevence on the story line at all. Well written, carefully thoughtout characters make this a book that should be in any persons library
