Summary: This is my all-time favorite book!!! BUY THIS BOOK!!!
Review: My mother let me read her copy of this book when I was a teen. I read and re-read it several times. As I have grown older, I have searched restlessly for my own copy. I had resigned to visiting the library whenever I needed to read it. I can't believe how lucky I am to locate a copy now!!! Thank you Marlys Millhiser for providing me with such pleasurable experiences!!!

Review: I read this book back in the 70's and enjoyed it so much (and remember every detail of the story - it was that good!). I actually loaded this book out to at least 20 people when finally a co-worker misplaced it. I've been search for the past 10 years at yard sales, flea markets, used book stores etc.. to replace it. At last I've found a source.

Summary: I felt very drawn into the story with the characters.
Review: I, myself, and several of my friends read a lot of books. The Mirror is one of our all time favorites. Each of us re-read it every couple of years and there are very few books we can say that about. And for four veteran lifetime readers, that is saying a lot. Read it and experience multipe eras at once!

Review: This has to be one of the best books I've ever read, and I read incessantly! The characterization is excellent, as is the story line. I hated for the book to end. Review: I read this book 3 times years and years ago and have been searching for it ever since. I was told it was out of print, and am so glad to know that I may be able to find it again - finally! I wont rest until its in my hand. Thank you Marlys Millhiser for having written this book - how about a sequel??? This story could go on forever.

Review: I have read the book at least a dozen times. And everybody that I've loaned the book to has also loved it almost as much as I have. One friend that I had loaned the book to had to argue with another family member just to get the book back because everyone LOVED it.

Review: Not only was the subject matter of interest to me, but the excellent way that it was written, with careful attention to details of how things must have been in Colorado in that day and age was well evident. What an absolutely ingenious concept. It was easy to picture in one's mind just what was happening and visualize the surroundings as well. I had never read anything like it before, nor since. Great book for re-reading. Thanks, Marlys, for this, and all of your books!

Summary: The impossible can always become the possible.
Review: I read this book when it was first published, loaned it to a friend who accidently misplaced it. Together, we have been searching for this book for 7 years - me to be able to reread and replace it, her so that she could finish it. "The Mirror" is one of the most intriguing novels that I have ever read. You want the granddaughter to make the correct choices, but you also don't want to lose her to the past. As movie reviewers are often wont to say, I was on the edge of my seat. Thank you for bringing this book "back to life." My long search through libraries and bookstores is finally over.

Summary: Time travel, and a twist of fate......
Review: If you've ever wondered and even wished you could live in the "good ole' days" then you will love the mirror that Shay Garrett went through in time, while her grandmother comes forward in her place, both completely out of their enviroment, both making it work, and learning about themselves and each other in ways they never could have otherwise. Very well written, I couldn't put it down, and I never gave it back to my sister!
