Summary: A Book You'll Never Forget!
Review: I was so excited to see that this book is for sale again (my mom was too)! I remember borrowing it from the library when I was in high school; and seeing as how I have read lots and lots of books since then (most of which I don't remember), I think it says something about Ms Millhiser's storytelling abilities that I could remember not only the book's basic storyline but its title too. "The Mirror" is one of the most fascinating books I've ever read, and I'm glad that I now have a chance to own a copy of it.

Review: This was a great book to read. It wasn't the best book I've ever read, but it was one that I couldn't put down. The story was well presented and the characters came to life for me. If you need a book for pure escape, this is it!

Review: I loved this book. I've read it at least 50 times by now! In fact, I loaned out my copy and didn't get it back. Tried to find one to buy and couldn't so I took it out of the library, in hard cover, and then told them I lost it. Cost me $40 but it was worth it!

Summary: This book is a treat for someone from the Boulder area.
Review: I work in Boulder and spend alot of time in the Boulder Canyon-Nederland area. This book wonderfully captures the physical feeling of the area and it is fascinating to read about how it "was". Silly as it sounds--it is the first book I've ever kissed the cover of after finishing it. It is a prized posession (once I can pry it from my daughter's hands)

Review: I have been trying desperatly to locate hard cover versions of Maryls Millhiser books, specifically "The Mirror". Can you help me locate a resource. I have read many of Maryls books and truly find them fascinating and extremely well written.

Summary: It'll Knock Your Socks Off!
Review: This surpasses any book that I have ever read! This story grabbed me from the beginning and held me tight up to the very end! I actually had to lock my family out of the room each evening just so I could enter the story completely,totally and uninterrupted. As I read, I became the character of Shay as she lived her life as Brandy. I loved it! I could really get into that! What a beautiful thing to happen! This book was a great "experience" for me...I savoured every minute! I've never felt this way about another book! If ther are any Mirror-lovers who have found a book that comes close to being as magically wonderful as this...please let me know...I'd love to read one that can do what this one did...KNOCK MY SOCKS OFF!

Review: I read this book when it first came out. What a wonderful book. You get so caught up in it, it is hard to come back to present time. I loaned it to a friend back in the 1980's & they lost it. It has taken me more than 15 years to locate another copy. I have since been able to acquire one of the originals. My husband was so intrigue by my description of it, that he is going to read it. This is one book that will never be loaned out again. Along with others in our collection

Summary: The best book I have read for years!!
Review: I first read 'The Mirror' in 1978 and was immediately captured by the characters. Ms. Millhiser does a superb job of transporting the reader back to Brandy's time. You can feel Shay's pain and frustration in being in such a strange and old fashioned world. And when Brandy is in 'our' time, well, I just wanted to go and get her and shield her from the modern travesties that she encountered. I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a wonderful escape. It is a book that will be read over and over.

Review: Like other reviewers, I read this book many years ago. I have been searching a long time. A friend had also read the book. She asks me all the time if I had any luck in finding it. Today is my lucky day! I can't wait to read this book again and share it with others. My grandmother, who was born in 1889, would tell stories of her childhood. This book brought me back to her time. My grandmother is gone, but some of the things she told me about live on in this book. It's a wonderful book if you want to go back in time and see just how things were for your parent or grandparent. Maryls Millhiser's story is a much better portrayal than "Back To The Future." I can't wait for my daughter to read this book. My search is over. It's as if I found a long, lost treasure. What a wonderful way to begin the New Year. Now I can't wait to read her other books. Ms. Millhiser must receive so much joy and contentment, first from writing such a wonderful story, and second from her readers comments.
