Summary: You Will Remember It For A Lifetime.
Review: I too, have looked for this book for years. I bought 2 of them and loved them so much that I loaned them to dear friends. The dear friends must of loved them too for I never saw the books again. The story touches you and leaves you with memories that will haunt you. Things will happen in your everyday life that will remind you of the characters and situations of the book. To this day I look in a mirror with care. One day my grandaughter was in my bedroom and we both looked into the mirror at the same time and all kinds of thoughts ran through my head. Read it, read it and you'll never forget. I loved it. I would like to meet Marlys Millhiser. Is that at all possible?

Summary: A Great Read
Review: I decided to do an on-line search for "The Mirror" after finding my public library didn't have a copy of the book. I first read the book twenty years ago when I was in high school *several* times. For some reason, I've been thinking about the plot... about Shay... in the last week and decided I had to find the book somewhere! I'm so happy I found it... I think my nine year old will enjoy the plot, too, maybe before she finishes up all her other books.

Summary: I've finally found it!
Review: I first read this book 20 years ago and have been unable to find it since. The heartwarming story is one that stays with you for a lifetime! I am thrilled to have finally found it and cant wait to once again fall back into the world that belongs to Shay and Brandy. This is one book that I will be handing down to my daughters. Thank you so much!

Summary: A new way to travel
Review: From horse and buggy to speeding sports cars and back again, this is the story of extraordinary characters. Brandy & Shay must adjust to times, places, and people, completely alien to them. They battle the mirror, their families and the question of their own sanity in this story of three generations. This is well written time travel with a twist.

Summary: Whoopee-twang
Review: I first read this book at age twelve, perhaps a bit young to completely understand it all, and recently read it again. It will grip you and transform you as few other books ever will. You will never look in a Mirror the same way again. It makes you want to take a trip to Boulder, CO, Carribou, CO, and Nederland, CO, just to see if you could meet the characters in the book. This is an excellent choice.

Summary: One of the best
Review: This is actually the book that got me interested in reading. I read it when I was 8, and have been facinated with reading ever since. It's an unforgettable story with wonderful characters. It's actually very hard to put down. Another great thing: it's a book that you can read over and over. You can't say that for many other books. Happy reading.

Summary: THE ULTIMATE BOOK FOR TIME-TRAVEL FANS!
Review: I enjoyed it very much. It was a wonderful book with numerous twists and surpriseing truths. She's definitely not afraid of her own secret thoughts. It's like looking back on your own thoughts, ones that you don't dare let out for anyone to hear, let alone write down! Then you'd have to admit them to yourself. And we all know that you are your own harshest critic. I liked the way that you completely forgot that you were reading a book and not sneaking a peak at your mother's secret diary. That is such a great freedom...to hold nothing back writing so free and fluid.

Summary: The Great Escape
Review: Quite a long time ago I bought The Mirror as a hard copy book. I hadn't really heard anything about it but became involved with the story almost immediately. The reading is easy and it's such a delightful escape from "today". In the early 90's I loaned it to another CO friend. I recently made an attempt to get it back for one of my daughters but my friend has been unable to find it (she thinks her daughter who's away at college has it now). I was pleased to see this book recently in soft cover and now plan to just go ahead and purchase one for my daughter since I think chances are slim that I'll be seeing my first copy again. Read it; you'll enjoy it!

Summary: A guy's perspective
Review: As a big time-travel fan I was intrigued by the premise. I'd say the first two-thirds of the book really surprised me at how well it was written and I was completely taken in by the description of the period and location. It all changed for me, however, when Shay Garrett's story was over and Brandy's began. Let's just say that 1900 Boulder was a lot more interesting than 1978 Boulder! Same goes for the 'present day' characters. Nowhere NEAR as interesting. By the end of the book I felt let down. It had run out of steam.

Summary: Best book I ever read
Review: I fell in love with this story the first time I read it. The only book I've read many times. My daughter read it in the forth grade & did an oral book report. Several girls borrowed it. The last didn't return it, swearing she did. I lived without it several years, then found another copy in a used book store. I actually gave out a little shriek when I saw it. I read several of her books afterward. All good, but none as great.
