Rating: Summary: The Way Men Act Review: My book club read "The Inn at Lake Divine" but the bookstore clerk recommended this book as Lipman's best. What a great read! I did enjoy this book much more. Her descriptions of the fly fishing shop and the customers and staff were wonderful. The interactions between the characters seemed very plausible. I've now read a third of her books. Each is written in a different style and I've enjoyed them all. I'm looking forward to many more works from Lipman.

Rating: Summary: It describes my life! Review: One of the best books I have ever read - describes the story of my life better than I could ever have! From bad relationships to bad "career" moves, Melinda returns to her hometown to find out that the way she thought things were are not the way they really are. A very funny, delightful look at "going home" again
Rating: Summary: My first book by Elinor had me reading more... Review: She's a chronic complainer, completely self engrossed, vindictive and adorable. Melinda LeBlanc is my new hero.
Rating: Summary: Frighteningly true to life! Review: She's a chronic complainer, completely self engrossed, vindictive and adorable. Melinda LeBlanc is my new hero.
Rating: Summary: A Contemporary Novel of Manners Review: What happens when three "townies" return to a college town to open trendy stores, is the subject of "The Way Men Act". It's a compelling and humorous look at the miscommunication that occurs between the sexes. Best of all are the discussions of romance between mother and daughter. It's the mother's romance being discussed.
